📌 Everything you need to know ⤵️ This one took us some time to find but💡Top Tip… “Follow the water”. Here is everything you need to know about finding this unique & hidden Koi pond in the middle of the redwoods in the Santa Cruz mountains ⛰️ 🥾 Rincon Trail to Spring Box Trail to Spring Trail to a short off-trail climb 🅿️ We parked on the campus of UCSC. Drive up “Coolidge Dr” (this road turns into “McLaughlin Dr”) There is a parking lot on the left hand side of this road with an arrow pointing to “Stevenson College”. This is also called “USCS Parking lot 109” Pull into this lot, take a right and park in the designated “Park Mobile” stalls. This will run you $5 “or so” for the entire day. 🗺️1️⃣ After parking your car, head back towards the main road & take a right going downhill. After a half mile or so, you will see a trail entrance on your left entering “Rincon Trail”. Follow this trail until you reach the first fork in the trail in which you will join “Spring Box Trail”. 📌 Technically you have made it if you keep left in this section however for a slightly more challenging hike, keep reading… 🗺️2️⃣ After joining “Spring Box Trail” keep right & continue on the trail until you reach a 3-way trail split. You want to join the “Spring Trail” (NOT The Brayshaw Trail) Follow the “Spring Trail” until you come across a mini waterfall on the left hand side (you will know it when you see it) Go off the trail, climb up an incline & “Follow the water!” Once you reach the top, you can’t miss it😍 ⏰ 1 hour 30 would be a fair estimate. We stayed on the hike and joined another connecting trail adding to the time 🧭 From the parked car to the Koi pond and back it was about 3 miles 🚽 We didn’t see any restrooms ⛰️ Elevation Gain = 495 ft 🐶 Dog friendly - 📍Santa Cruz, CA | @visitsantacruz - ⤵️ Follow @mageetravels for more costal California trails and adventures ⛰️🌊 - #californiacoast #californialove #californiadreaming #californialiving #californialife #santacruz #santacruzcalifornia #bayareabuzz #bayarea #sfbayarea #visitcalifornia

The annual New Year’s Eve fireworks show on the waterfront of San Francisco has been a great tradition for many to start the new year. At 11:59pm on the December 31, the sky fills with dazzling fireworks! The show lasts about 15-20 min. The waterfront offers the best viewing spot (especially between Ferry Building - Bay Bridge) but also gets extremely crowded. Here is a list of other good viewing spots: 🎇 Embarcadero between Mission Street and Folsom Street 🎆 Rincon Park 🎇 Treasure Island 🎆 Telegraph Hill 🎇 Tiburon shore 🎆 Sausalito shore 🎇 Hawk Hill 🎆 Marin Headlands 🎇 Corona Heights Park 🎆 Berkeley Marina ✨ Parking is limited near the waterfront, so plan accordingly! ✨ Make sure to grab your spot early!

Planning a visit to Saguaro National Park? Then SAVE this reel for future planning! Saguaro National Park contains two separate districts: the Tucson Mountain District and the Rincon Mountain District. The Tucson District is often referred to as Saguaro West, and the Rincon District as Saguaro East. To really get a chance to explore both sides, since they are different, I recommend two days. If you stay in Tucson you’ll be situated right between both districts! DAY ONE: Head to the west side of Saguaro to the Tucson Mountain District. My favorite trail is the Wasson Peak Trail. Wasson is the highest point in Saguaro West. The trail is 7.9 miles with 1,863 gain. After hiking Wasson, head to Signal Hill for sunset. Signal Hill has a protected petroglyph site, and since the petroglyphs are protected behind a barrier, if you want to see petroglyphs this is where I recommend you go. Sunset is beautiful along the trails near Signal Hill, or you can pack a charcuterie board and some beverages and have a sunset picnic since there’s a ton of picnic tables near the parking lot! Stay the night in Tucson. DAY TWO: Head to Saguaro East and hike Tanque Verde Ridge. This 3.3 mile trail has 925 feet elevation gain and is a good way to see the east side. After your hike head to Javelina Rocks Overlook to get a stunning view for sunset. Keep in mind, Saguaro is hot so the best time to visit is fall through spring. The desert does get cold at night so layers are always a good idea here. Questions? Drop them below! Happy Trails! #saguaro #SaguaroNationalPark #NationalPark #NationalParks #NationalParkGeek #FindYourPark #Arizona #ArizonaIsBeautiful #HikeArizona #ArizonaIsGorgeous #ArizonaHiking #AZHiking #HikeAZ

✅This is a historic, still-active lighthouse perched on a rugged cliff in the Marin Headlands, just north of San Francisco. Built in 1855, it helped guide ships through the treacherous Golden Gate Strait and still serves as a coastal beacon today. 🥾To reach it, visitors walk through a hand-carved tunnel, hike a dramatic cliffside path, and cross a suspension bridge—making it one of the most epic mini-adventures in the Bay Area. 🌉This is the The Only U.S. Lighthouse Reached by Suspension Bridge.(the suspension bridge is currently closed for reconstruction, but you still can hike here to see the structure ) 📍 Point Bonita Lighthouse Marin County, San Francisco, California 📏 Trail Details • Length: 0.5 miles easy round trip • Surface: Paved and gravel path • Pets not allowed • Parking is FREE • Open: Sat–Mon, 12:30 PM – 3:30 PM • Panoramic views of Golden Gate Bridge, Pacific Ocean, and SF skyline → SHARE with friends to go when in the Bay Area. 🤗If you’re new here, Hi i’m Crystal, I post California’s best spots & unique travel adventures in the USA and around the world.
