This is more of a lazy cook life hack than it is a recipe. I do this alllllll the time. @homegoods has one aisle of food. I know people go there for decor and furniture, but I’m there once a week for FOOD. I get all of my seasonings at Home Goods as well. Soup, pastas, rice mixes, and risottos - just to name a few. They are all pre seasoned. And the best part? Around $4!!! I add a salad and some bread and call it a day. When I tell you my cabinets are filled with these options, believe me. I don’t cook from-scratch meals all the time. I pull these suckers out on the weekends. Great to have on hand. Trust me!!!!!!! Great bargains. They also have international options. I use smoked salmon in this recipe as once it’s heated through and broken up the flavor mellows and works beautifully to flavor the rice. You can use ANY type of rice and don’t need Arborio rice.
