This week’s issue of the Rivertowns Dispatch is all about upcoming changes and celebrations. In Dobbs Ferry there is a lot of talk about property. Neighbors to The Knoll aim to protect it by buying two proposed single family home plots. Developer Christina Griffin proposes a nine-unit development on Livingston Ave. In Irvington, the Irvington Theater is hosting performances for the celebration of Juneteenth. This year Irvington is hosting the Garden Club meeting for members living in the river towns and neighboring towns to hold panels, host speakers, hold business sessions and more regarding conservation, education and advocacy for native plants. Hastings is focused on the upcoming elections for mayor as the debate has just taken place and Timothy Reuter conducted a Rivertowns Dispatch Podcast interviewing both candidates. $100k has also been funded for climate action initiatives. Four Ardsley community members who are doing an exceptional job serving our youth communities were honored with a Jenkins Award.
