Installing a Reverse Osmosis System (What I Learned Right Aw

Installing a Reverse Osmosis System (What I Learned Right Away) 💧🛠️ | Part 1 I just picked up a reverse osmosis water filtration system for my kitchen, and this is the start of a multi-part series walking through the install from a real homeowner’s perspective. There are two main RO options out there: • countertop units you manually refill • in-line systems that install under your sink I went with the in-line version to avoid constant refilling — but that convenience comes with a more involved installation. In my setup, I’m routing filtered water not only to my kitchen faucet, but also to my refrigerator water dispenser, which means adding a two-way valve and thinking through the plumbing before anything gets connected. In Part 1, I’m keeping things simple: • Unboxing the system and laying out all the components • Installing the water shut-off valve that will feed the filters later Nothing complicated yet — but this step sets the foundation for everything that follows. This entire install took several hours start to finish, but I’ll say this: the instructions and the way the components were packaged made a huge difference. Staying organized early on made the process far smoother than it would’ve been otherwise. My goal with this series isn’t to sell you on RO systems — it’s to show what installing one actually looks like, so you can decide if it’s the right choice for your home. Next videos will cover organization, routing lines, connecting filters, and bringing it all together step by step. Real projects. Real time. Real learning. #DIY #HomeImprovement #WaterFiltration #ReverseOsmosis #UnderSinkFilter #HomeProjects #FixItYourself #HomeownerLife #BeginnerDIY #tghammondonline

Leak Checks Matter More Than You Think 💧🛠️ | RO Install Pa

Leak Checks Matter More Than You Think 💧🛠️ | RO Install Part 2 In this part of the reverse osmosis install, I’m slowing things down to do something that really matters: leak checking the supply valve before the rest of the system goes together. This is one of those steps that’s easy to rush — but fixing a leak now is a whole lot easier than fixing it after everything is assembled and tucked away under the sink. From my background as an engineer working in manufacturing, one thing I’ve learned is this: even with solid quality control, parts don’t always work perfectly. Small defects happen. Assumptions cause problems. Testing early saves time and frustration. A few things that stood out so far in this install: • The way the parts were packaged and organized helped a lot • Color-coded valves and tubing made it much easier to keep track of connections • With multiple filters in the system, that color coding noticeably sped things up I also get the water reservoir prepped in this video. Reverse osmosis is a slower filtration process, so the reservoir gives you usable water on demand while the system refills in the background — a key part of making RO practical for daily use. So far, so good. I’m not affiliated with this product and not trying to sell anything — just sharing my real experience as I work through the install. Based on what I’ve seen up to this point, I’ve been impressed. Next videos will keep building the system out step by step. Test early. Stay organized. Take your time. #DIY #HomeImprovement #WaterFiltration #ReverseOsmosis #UnderSinkFilter #HomeProjects #FixItYourself #HomeownerLife #BeginnerDIY #tghammondonline

When would you use an undersink reverse osmosis treatment system? A lot of people who live in cities, towns will have a reverse osmosis system cause they don't wanna drink their city or town water. They just don't wanna drink the chlorinated water, and the fluoride. Sometimes in older towns or cities, they have still have lead piping, or they're leaching lead into the water. And this is a good alternative to clean that water up for their drinking. #water #reverseosmosis #dirtywater #watertreatment

Reverse osmosis is a highly effective water filtration process that removes contaminants by pushing water through a semi-permeable membrane. That membrane acts like an ultra-fine filter — allowing clean water molecules to pass through while blocking unwanted substances. In simple terms? It’s one of the most powerful ways to purify your drinking water at home. 🔬 What Can an RO System Reduce? • Dissolved solids (TDS) • Chlorine & chemical tastes • Lead and heavy metals • Nitrates • PFAS (in many systems) • Arsenic • Sodium • Sediment & microscopic impurities 💡 Benefits of Having an RO System Installed: ✅ Cleaner, better-tasting drinking water ✅ Reduced exposure to harmful contaminants ✅ Crystal clear ice cubes & better coffee ✅ Less dependence on bottled water ✅ Long-term cost savings ✅ Peace of mind knowing what’s in your water An RO system installs neatly under your sink and delivers purified water straight from a dedicated faucet — no bulky pitchers, no constant bottle purchases. If you’re curious about what’s actually in your water, it may be time to explore your options. 📩 Message Clear Solutions today to learn how we can professionally install a Reverse Osmosis system in your home and help you experience cleaner, better water. #softwaterlife #betterwaterbetterliving #chlorinefree #showerupgrade #homeimprovements #industrialwater #clearsolutionsllc #wateryoucanfeel #ResidentialServices #homeupgrade #cleanwatermatters #watersoftener #waterconditioning #hardwaterproblems #commercialwater #protectyourplumbing #healthyhome #skinandhaircare

Reverse osmosis is the best filtration process we have for our water. Typically, we have smaller units that go underneath our sink so we can have clean drinking water. Imagine a whole home water purification system that gives you reverse osmosis for everything in the home: showering, the kids' bath, laundry, everything. Shout out to @waterdropfilter for making this thing. I’m excited to learn more about it #health

I’ll be honest I’ve seen lots of different filter systems and R.O. Systems out there, and I’ve tested enough to know that most of them don’t cut it. Not because they don’t work but because they are hard to maintain and nobody remembers to change out filters. With our systems they have maintenance reminders and the filters are so easy to change a 5 year old could do it. We only use the best!!

The Technology Behind the Safest Drinking Water Reverse osmosis removes what you can’t see. Lead, nitrates, fluoride — filtered out through a high-precision membrane. The Final Step: RO Filters Installed & Purged 💧🛠️ | Part 3

The Final Step: RO Filters Installed & Purged 💧🛠️ | Part 3 This wraps up the reverse osmosis install — and this is where everything finally comes together 🔧💧 In Part 3, I’m installing the removable filters and getting the system ready for real use: 🔹 PP (Particulate) filter 🔹 CTO (Chlorine, Taste & Odor) filter 🔹 GAC (Granular Activated Carbon) filter 🔹 RO membrane The key here is order and orientation. Each filter has to be installed in the correct sequence and seated properly so it seals cleanly with the housing. Take your time — this step is what makes or breaks the system. Once the filters are in, it’s on to the connections. I found this part refreshingly simple thanks to: 🎨 Color-coded tubing (no guessing) 🔌 Push-to-connect fittings with quick disconnects (future maintenance will be easy) The final step is purging the system, which takes about an hour ⏱️. Each filter gets flushed individually, then the reservoir is filled before the water is ready to drink. It’s a little time-consuming, but it’s a one-time setup and a small price to pay for a continuous supply of cleaner, healthier water 🚰 I’m not sponsored and not selling anything — just sharing my real experience installing this system so you can decide if it’s right for your home. If you followed along from Part 1, thanks for coming on the journey 👊 Clean water. Good planning. Totally worth it. #DIY #ReverseOsmosis #WaterFiltration #HomeImprovement #HomeMaintenance #FixItYourself #HealthyHome #UnderSinkFilter #BeginnerDIY #tghammondonline
