Roe deer (Capreolus capreolus) are graceful and agile mammals belonging to the deer family, widely distributed across Europe and parts of Asia. They prefer forested areas, woodlands, and shrublands. Their body length ranges from 95 to 135 cm, and adult individuals typically weigh between 20 and 30 kg. Male roe deer have short, upright antlers, while females do not have antlers. They are herbivores, feeding on leaves, young shoots, grasses, and fruits. Their breeding season occurs in July and August, and females usually give birth to one or two fawns. Natural predators include wolves, lynxes, and foxes.
