✅Hemlock falls is one of the most visited attraction point in @southmountainconservancy ✅this hidden gem is easy to access and it’s available only 40 minutes drive from Jersey City. You will walk along the Rockway river to the fall. It’s around 30 feet high. And there are Dams and tunnel a park near it, which you can explore afterwards. ✅Moderate hike that takes in a viewpoint from historic Washington Rock, Hemlock Falls, and the Rahway River. ✅It is one of the most biggest waterfall in New Jersey. and easily accessible via the yellow trail. From the parking lot is a 10 minute walk. ✅Short hike packs two waterfalls and a little brook. Good for beginners and kids. The purest form of winter magic 👇 📍 Hidden in Kananaskis, Marmot Falls is a frozen wonderland that feels unreal! On this day I had it all to myself (which is why I love the flexibility to adventure during the week). Standing there, looking up massive ice walls, surrounded by snow covered trees, and absolute silence was one of those moments that just makes your heart smile. 🩵 🚙 How to get there: The trail starts at the Troll Falls trailhead near Nakiska Ski Area. The easy 3.4 km round-trip trail leads you to the first frozen waterfall: Troll Falls. But if you’re up for a little extra adventure, keep going for another 10–15 minutes, and you’ll reach Marmot Falls, which is the one you can actually walk behind! My tip: On your way back, take the scenic detour through Hay Meadows. This little side trail opens up to stunning views of the Kananaskis River and often has fresh animal tracks in the snow. 🫎 🥾 What to bring? 👉Microspikes – The trail and the area behind the falls can get super icy! 👉 Bear Spray (yes, even in winter) 👉Warm layers, because most of the trail is shaded, and the waterfalls make it even colder. 👉 A thermos of tea or hot chocolate to make it extra cozy ☕️ This short & easy trail is perfect for explorers, families, and anyone who loves a bit of winter magic.
