Am I getting so ambitious? I did two things to my Rubber plant (Ficus Elastica), repotted to bigger pot and moved inside my house. I know sometimes plants like this get stressed when repotting or changing location. And, I did both. I had to destroy the growth pot it was in outside as the roots crawled to the ground. This is a fast grower. 🌿 Got it a couple of years ago as a three footer and now it is a seven footer. I’m usually a "patience is a virtue" kind of plant parent with my quarantine, but this Ficus Black Knight needed a literal life jacket. ​The nursery soil was absolutely drowning, and I wasn’t about to let those roots suffer. She got a quick 24-hour timeout just to be safe, but today we’re getting her into some breathing room: 1. ​The Leaf Shine: Wiping down those moody, dark leaves so she can actually breathe. 2. ​The Rescue Mix: Swapping that saturated soil for my favorite chunky blend of perlite and bark.
