Today Rylee starts the Intermin maintenance phase of her treatment (this is a 8 week phase of chemo). She picked out her new Rumi port shirt I made her, we did a few affirmations, put on her port cream and headed to the hospital 🏥❤️ Her skin is still sensitive from when she did blina… so she didn’t love when they cleaned her skin to access her port 😥 but afterwards she was all smiles when they brought in the service dog (and Rylee’s bestie 🦮💕) and they surprised her with TWO more Labubu’s 🫶🏼 All her levels looked good from her blood test, so they started her chemo. I brought her some “emotional support” chocolate kisses for when they had to remove the port sticker/port… but she did so good 🫶🏼 Now she has 10 days off before having to go back (thankful for that break 🙌🏻). So proud of her 🥹 my strong, brave, beautiful girl. #RyleeStrong 🎗️

👠🔟💯 12/21: @transformationsbattle welcomes RYLEE PRODIGY 👠🔟💯 Originally from Phoenix, AZ, Rylee Locker, also known as Rylee Prodigy, is a dance artist and educator based out of Philadelphia, PA. She graduated from Arizona State University in 2019, receiving her BFA in Dance Education and ended up moving to Philadelphia to further pursue her career in the Ballroom Scene. Now, Rylee is known Internationally for her award winning performances in the Ballroom Scene. She currently serves as the Philadelphia Mother of the Iconic House of Prodigy. Rylee recently received “Woman Of The Year 23-24” in the Overall Ballroom Scene, “Mother Of The Year 2023” in the Philadelphia Ballroom Scene, and holds Fifteen “Of The Year” titles for Women’s Performance. Rylee is also the Founding Mother of the Kiki House of Paragon, founded in 2020. Aside from Voguing at Balls, she also can be seen dancing in All Style Battles. As an educator, Rylee centers her pedagogical practices around how community empowers our movement. It is important to her to prioritize the accommodation of students’ needs. She teaches Vogue Femme, Heels Dance, Contemporary, Waacking, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Street Jazz. She travels as a teaching artist around the States and has taught workshops in Berlin and Toronto. Currently, Rylee is a resident teacher at Urban Movement Arts based in Philadelphia and an adjunct professor at Rider University. As a Choreographer, Rylee creates Contemporary work that centers fluidity and femininity, which incorporates Contemporary, Vogue, Waacking, and Heels dance. This involves work created for the stage and intimate community settings. Altogether Rylee strives to inspire and empower others through her art and pedagogical practices. Today was one of those moments I’ll never forget 🩷 We shaved Rylee’s hair… something I had been quietly bracing myself for 🥹 but leave it to her to turn what I thought would be heartbreaking into something beautiful. She was SO excited. So full of light. So proud. As a mom, I worried this might be hard for her… but I should’ve known better. She looked in the mirror, smiled the biggest smile, and said, ✨ “I’m so pretty!” ✨ And my heart just melted. Because she is. Inside and out. Brave. Strong. Radiant. We made it a family moment… each of us taking turns cutting little pieces, sharing laughs through the tears. Her dad and brother even shaved their heads too, just so they could match her 🥹 She’s so loved. So celebrated. And every single day, she reminds me what true strength and beauty really look like 💛 #RyleeStrong 🎗️💕

Our live with RyLee was amazing! We are feeling so uplifted by this conversation and RyLee’s insights into the ability our Savior has to succor us.
