The suspect, 30-year-old Mohamed Husien of Davis, California, went on a multi-day violent crime spree that started Jan. 17 with stealing a red Corvette from a Sacramento dealership, followed by armed robberies at a convenience store, a liquor store on McKee Road in San Jose, then two more the next day on the Peninsula and Coleman Road. He was killed by police Wednesday to stop the rampage. "Coming this close to losing an officer is a nightmare," San Jose Police Chief Paul Joseph said Thursday.
