After 200+ flights with our three little explorers, we can confidently say: flying with kids doesn’t have to be stressful, especially when flight attendants are kind and thoughtful. We’ve flown low-cost airlines and the fancy ones, long-haul and short-haul, and honestly, there’s no difference in how amazing the crews can be. Every single time, the flight attendants have been patient, supportive, and genuinely caring and we’ve never had a situation where we needed to report anything unkind. Our most recent flight was on Frontier, from Orlando to Chicago. With our daughter in a cast for a broken ankle, the crew was incredibly sweet - checking on her multiple times, offering help, and just making us feel seen. Moments like these remind us that kindness is contagious, and it can turn a challenging travel day into a beautiful memory. 💛 So next time you fly, let’s all lead with patience and kindness, especially toward families traveling with little ones. If people want to listen to music they can put their headphones, isn’t that the curtesy on airplanes? So we’re definitely not doing this while the plane is sitting on the tarmac delayed over 2 hours! Would you let your kids fly by themselves? ✈️ This is the second time we’ve done an unaccompanied minor flight for our kids and here’s what we’ve learned: -our kids love it! It makes them feel independent, special and confident (plus they get extra attention and snacks from flight attendants) -you’ll be able to walk with them all the way to the gate. Then the gate agent will accompany them to the plane. On the other end the designated adult will also pick them up at the gate so kids won’t be wandering around the airport alone. -unaccompanied minor flights are available for kids 5 to 16 on direct flights in the US on @united and costs $150 plus the plane ticket (same price for 1 or 2 kids!) -grandparents love having a few extra days with grandkids before parents arrive and start enforcing the rules again PS love that airlines check in kids traveling alone and firearms in the same line 😬

Vlog #4: After racing back and forth through the terminals we made it on our flight to Tokyo and then the flight was delayed because of some technical issue. 😅😂 This is the first super long flight I took with the kids! We’ve traveled 5 hour flights but not over that - this one was 7 hours and 45 minutes - and it was the first time I was traveling so far with all five kids myself. Luckily Avi and Elli are such a big help it’s much easier having those two with me to help with Mikah and Adelina.
