📍 Working with the most miniature of mediums, artist @tanaka_tatsuya (Tatsuya Tanaka) creates tiny scenes that embrace the unexpected. Rooted in the Japanese concept of “mitate” — the reimagining of familiar objects into something entirely new — his work infuses a bit of surrealism into everyday scenery, from morning routines to Olympic events. “Simply put, it’s about transforming something everyone knows into something else everyone also knows,” says Tanaka.
