It was damaging to not only my mental health but also my ideas on relationships and sex. Yes. I used to read open door books. And it wasn’t good for me. So I choose not to buy books that promote open door and smut. And it’s sad for me that it’s snuck into YA. Now, you want to read it as an adult, fine. That’s your choice.
