If you’re filling a DLA form, there’s one word you need to use again and again to make sure your claim is taken seriously: 👉 “Supervision.” Why does it matter? Because the DWP don’t just look at what your child can do, they look at what they need in terms of extra care and supervision compared to a typical child their age. Here’s how to use it 👇 1️⃣ Instead of “sometimes needs help crossing the road,” write: “Needs constant supervision outdoors due to no danger awareness.” . 2️⃣ Instead of “finds eating tricky,” write: “Requires supervision at all meals to prevent choking.” . 3️⃣ Instead of “struggles at night,” write: “Needs supervision several nights a week for safety and to manage night wakings.” The word “supervision” tells the DWP this isn’t just parenting it’s above and beyond what’s typical. . 📌 Filling DLA?
