📍Margate I have been meaning to come back to Margate for ages as it is such a foodie destination! I was only there for 24 hours but managed to squeeze in a few top spots: 1. @sargasso.bar - a small plate restaurant on the pier with a buzzy atmosphere and friendly service. Particular highlights were the seabass and the panna cotta with rhubarb 🍧 2. @rise.and.bun for their ridiculously good cinnamon buns. I had the lemon and blueberry which was divine. Neeeeed to try the others asap 🍋 3. @angelas_of_margate - the much hyped fish restaurant deserves every bit of praise. I could’ve chosen anything from the menu. Crab toast, mussels, hake and skate were all utterly brilliant 🦀 4. @lulusgelatomargate for a sweet treat on a sunny day. just spent the best few days in Margate! Didn’t include accommodation bc I’ve never stayed there, I live close but I hear Margate House, Fort Rd & No42 all good. Margate is a TOTAL foodie heaven! ☁️✨🏖️ Here is everything I ate (& where I stayed 💤) on a sunny September weekend away… 🌴 — @bungalowpalmbay if you do anything, book this dreamy 70’s inspired oasis by the sea! Perfectly placed directly opposite the Walpole Tidal Pool, you can walk into Margate town centre in 20 minutes 🍕— palmspizzeria big fat pies with a big bold flavours! They offer vegan options too, but the House Pie with hot honey, stracciatella, pepperoni & basil is heaven sent 🚐— @afterpartymargate is serving the post-swim crowd on the beach from their uber cool orange truck. They’re new to the area so go support them with a flat white & apple crumble bun! ☕️ — @fortscoffee is just so so good. I love the staff, the interior, the quality produce. It’s 100% worth the short walk over to Cliftonville 🧀 — @bigshot a boozy diner that serves sl*tty toasties (add on bacon relish, it’s worth it) all day eggs & brekkie burritos 🤤 🧺 — @picnicdeli_margate I tried their doorstop focaccia sandwiches at @sarnieparty earlier this year in London & they were just as good as I remember! The vegan carrot with vegan feta was divine but my fave was the chicken Caesar with garlic & Parmesan 🍷— @sargasso.bar is one of my fave spots in Margate for wine and gorgeous harbour views 🦭 but the it’s the food here that gets rave reviews, so I need to go back! — #margate #kentfood #margatebeach #ukgetaway #staycation
