Stop taking your coffee photos like this! I know it’s tempting but we can make a better photo by using more creative angles and using portrait mode. Using 9x16 makes it perfect for social media stories, then using the lower digital f/stop number give you that nice blurred background Then I’m flipping the phone and placing it on the same table that holds the drink to get a lower perspective. Lastly just position the mug and locking focus on the cup and taking a photo. Can’t forget color correcting in post. Which I use presets from my website! my simple tips for taking a good photo 📱 (no apps, no downloads, nothing fancy, just your basic Apple iPhone tools) Make sure the sunlight is BEHIND the person taking a photo this ensures the best lighting for you photo and prevents it from being backlit and ruining the quality Every time you go to take a video or photo, wipe your phone’s camera lens off. A single fingerprint smudge can affect quality and make things look blurry Do not take photos or videos using the Instagram camera, use your actual phone’s camera = better quality Frame it properly. Keep straight lines, center your subject, turn grid mode on in camera settings Edit your photo’s lighting using the free edit button under your photo. I add black point and warmth to make the colors in photos look deeper and richer. I sometimes put highlights at -100 for outdoor videos of scenery and that really makes the colors pop { photography tips and tricks, iPhone photos, photo editing, content creator }
