Do you use specialty corset boning? 🤔 I’ve recently gotten into making corsets, and while all the different types of boning options definitely have their individual uses, they can be sometimes be difficult to find, hard to work with and and can also get quite expensive! 💸 In pattern testing The Garden Stays by @atelier.arden.official , I tried a hack I’ve heard of but was a little unconvinced by: using zip ties as corset boning 🦴 I thought they wouldn’t be strong enough, but to my surprise they really are! They’re also very easy to cut and come in a variety of widths really well suited to corsetry 🤗 If specialty corset supplies aren’t readily available where you are, get yourself down to the hardware shop! 🛠️ #sewing #sewistofinstagram #sewingproject #sustainableclothing #handmade
