Silver could now start becoming extremely expensive for 3 very important reasons that you can’t miss... 1/ Starting 1st Jan 2026, China is placing heavy restrictions on the export of silver to the world... and this is important because 60-70% of the silver gets processed and refined in China and thus comes from China... It is the 3rd largest miner of silver and the largest refiner... and by curtailing the supply of silver, it is expected that the prices should go remarkably up. But why would China do this... 2/ 2025 has been the 5th year that silver has been in deficit, that is the Demand has been more than the Supply for five consecutive years... The demand is rising rapidly due to EVs, solar panels... but the mining has remained fairly stagnant because silver is mined as a by product of Lead, Zinc and Copper. If silver goes from USD 30 to USD 80 in price, the cost of a car goes up by up to USD 2000... and these two industries are now growing so rapidly, that the manufacturers will pay the higher price to keep up manufacturing at their factories... 3/ Physical availability of silver has been draining across vaults now for years... where all the silver from vaults in London and the US has been flowing towards China and India for the past three years... such that the paper price of silver is not in sync with the price of physical silver... It is expected that the paper to physical ratio is at almost 300:1, which means traders could be ready to pay a hefty premium for physical delivery... shooting the price to skyrocket upwards.
