I call these ✨ Skier Lifts ⛷️   Think of them like a modified side plank. It will help you feel your core stabilizing your hips as you lift your inside foot. We are primarily using the core to hold isometrically as we lift the inside leg , and then the deep hip flexors that also stabilize the core get called on to work.   If you don’t feel your core working, take your feet further from the wall and let yourself have an athletic lean from the hips forward and laterally (to the side).   💪🦵 There’s also a bit of leg and hip strengthening too - all crucial for a successful ski season.   Here’s how to do it:   1. Find a sturdy wall or support to lean against about a foot and a half to two feet away 2. Position yourself by pressing your elbow and forearm against the wall 3. Shift your hips towards the wall and put your weight into your outside foot WITHOUT rotating them 4. Lift your bottom leg up towards your hips, the slight lean in your torso 5.
