A skirted table adds softness, texture, and that layered, lived-in look I love without a single stitch!!! This no-sew version uses iron-on hem tape and a staple gun for a tailored finish that’s surprisingly simple. The hardest part was lining up the fabric design! To keep it really simple, I’d go with a solid fabric or smaller scale design. This tutorial can be modified to fit any table. I chose a cube storage table to add more places to keep the antique finds I can’t part with! I also added a custom cut piece of glass to the top to really complete the look! Do one panel, 2, 3, 4, or more! In theory, it’s just a bunch of rectangles stapled to a table! Just make sure to keep those lines straight and crisp! Lazy Girl DIY: No-Sew Skirted Console Table for us girls that can’t math but wanna look cute and cut corners 😂🫶🏻 Work smarter, not harder, BB! This is my no-sew table skirt tutorial — easy enough that anyone can do it. Inspired by a tutorial from @jennykomenda that I used over 10 years ago, and tweaked to fit my console and lazy girl ways. ✂️ What You’ll Need: 1.5 yards of fabric (adjust based on your console size) Fabri-Tac fabric glue Shipping tape (trust me!) Iron (optional but helpful) 🧵 Steps: Measure Your Console You’ll need to cut fabric for: 1 main panel (this runs from the back, over the top, and down the front) 2 inner front corner pieces (these go where the slits are in the front) 2 side panels Optional: 2 back corner panels — I skipped these since my console sits against the wall. Add Seam Allowance Add about 2–3 inches to each measurement for seams. This gives you room to fold and glue the edges so everything looks clean. Iron & Fold Iron your fabric to press the folds — this helps everything lie flat. Then, glue along the seam edge with Fabri-Tac, fold the edge over, and press it down. Instant hem! Assemble on Console Start with the main panel to get your placement right. Then add the inner front corners, and finish with the side panels. I used shipping tape at the bottom of the corner pieces to keep them snug against the legs. It works like a charm! Customize! I skipped a right side panel since it’s hidden in a corner. You could totally add trim or bullion fringe to jazz it up. And that’s it, you’re done! What do you think? Did this turn out amazing or what!? Have you made the decision to go low or no alcohol? For a long time, I skirted around the fact that I don’t drink anymore. Mostly because I couldn’t be bothered having the conversation — some people can be weird about it, and I never quite understood why. But when I do talk about it, the conversations that follow are actually really great. I’ve met people who only ever have a sip at a wedding toast, others who drew a clear line and never looked back, and plenty who — excuse the pun — have a more fluid relationship with alcohol. I also realised I’d misjudged the word sober. I used to think it automatically meant someone had a problem with alcohol. I’ve even been asked that directly. The truth is simpler for me: no problem — it just stopped feeling like something I wanted.
