Timelapse time! Drawing Sonic with his eyes way off to the side lowkey breaks his design. Sure you could make it, but I don’t think it’s desirable. I was wrestling with that for a bit. Eventually I decided to have him looking at the viewer. Honestly I can’t really think of any art/promotional material with him looking far to the left or right. I think the official Sonic Team knows this too.🤔 Sonic plus Arabic art and Middle Eastern folktales is peak. I dunno who at SEGA suggested this idea for a game but everything about its atmosphere is so rich and beautiful. Despite some of the pacing and controller quirks, this is still one of my all-time favorites.
