I remember when I first drove all the way to Frank’s Deli in Waverley for this steak frites baguette not realising how popular it would be. When I arrived at midday it was sold out! But luckily as I was about to leave the owner said they actually have enough to make one more portion and my gosh it was worth the drive! Easily one of the best steak frites baguettes I’ve had in Sydney, their crusty bread, the flavour of that perfectly sous vide and flash fried steak and the beautiful herby buttery l’entrecote style sauce that reminded me of the one in Paris that I had many years ago.
