Splitting rent in your resident portal is easier than you think. 👀 Once approved for Split Pay, add your virtual account numbers to your portal (or connect via Plaid), and you're set. On rent day, we charge half your rent (plus monthly fee) and pay your landlord in full. Two weeks later, we charge the second half. That's it. ✂️💸 Questions? You earn £70k. Your partner earns £35k. How do you split the rent? Option 1: 50/50 split. You both pay £750/month on a £1,500 flat. For you, that’s 13% of your monthly income. For your partner, that’s 26%. You’re both paying the same amount. But the financial strain isn’t equal. Option 2: Proportional split. You pay £1,000. Your partner pays £500. You both contribute the same percentage of your income. The burden is equal. The amounts aren’t. Money psychology shows this isn’t about math. It’s about fairness vs equality. 50/50 feels “fair” because it’s equal. But equal contribution doesn’t mean equal sacrifice. Proportional feels “fair” because the burden is shared relative to ability. But it can create power imbalances. The higher earner might feel they’re subsidising and the lower earner might feel dependent. There’s no universal right answer. But there is a wrong approach: not talking about it. Most couples avoid this conversation until resentment builds. One person feels taken advantage of. The other feels pressured. The split matters less than the communication. If you both agree on 50/50 and it works, great. If you both agree on proportional, great. The problem isn’t the method. It’s the assumption that your partner sees it the same way you do. Money is the leading cause of relationship conflict. Not because of the amounts. Because of the unspoken expectations. Talk about it before you move in. Revisit it when incomes change. Adjust when life shifts. The worst financial decision in a relationship is silence. Comment below: 50/50 or proportional? I want to know what you think. #money #relationships #couples

We use a strategy called "Rent to Rent". We rent properties from landlords. We furnish them. We list them on Airbnb & Booking.com as a short or mid-term rental. Each property requires a startup capital of $7k-$15k for the first month's rent, security deposit, and furniture. It's completely legal as long as you use the right contract. In the UK you can’t use the standard short hold tenancy agreement (AST). You need to use either: A company let agreement A management agreement The key here that makes it legal is that your COMPANY is renting from the owner, and you as a company are subletting the space to a guest. You also need to check the local regulations for local restrictions. You can sublet someone else's property without limit in most places. Depending on the region, you may need a license or permit. Getting a permit is usually easy and once you have it, you have no problems. If you have any more questions, feel free to send me a DM!

This property can rent for $6K–$7K a month… leaving me $1,500 to $2,000 in monthly cash flow. Most people don’t see it… I structure it, fill it, and get paid every month If learning how to do this interest you send me a dm with the word “SUBLEASE” #subleasesystem #landlord #entrepreneurship #business #thesubleasesystem
