🎥 Elite vs Rookie – Sprinting Breakdown In sprinting, small technical details make a huge difference. Unlike endurance running, sprinting is far less forgiving. If you haven’t practiced the right shapes, you can lose a lot of your natural power and speed. Here are three key clips showing the difference between a trained sprinter and someone new to sprinting: 1. Dorsiflexion vs Plantar Flexion Jay’s foot points down (plantar flexion), which delays ground contact and wastes energy. Christa keeps her ankle dorsiflexed (toes up) so the foot strikes quicker, creating a stiffer, more explosive contact. 2. Cutting the Drive Phase Short Jay pops up too quickly instead of driving through. This limits horizontal power and reduces speed potential. Christa stays in her drive longer, projecting forward and gradually rising into upright mechanics. 3. Backside Mechanics Jay’s foot recovers too high and too far behind his body, which slows his stride cycle. Christa keeps her foot tight under her body, cycling forward efficiently for faster turnover. 💡 By the end of the session, Jay had already made huge improvements, proof that with some simple drills and practice, anyone can start to move like a sprinter 🏃🏻💨 #sprints #sprinting #running #runningcoach #athlete #trackandfield

The few things that has helped me drop my times from going low 11s & 10.9 to 10.24 are listed down below ⬇️ ✅Get plyo work in! Make sure you’re bounding! ✅Make sure to get in the weight room and do explosive lifts to get you stronger ✅Start running more relaxed rather than running tense. Running fast comes from not forcing your self to be fast. Relax aggression is important ✅Start eating better and recovering better! Best way to get faster is to recover just as hard as you workout! It’s all about your hips. If your sprinting, your hips shouldn’t be stable They should oscillate (left cheek right cheek) w each stride Focus on trying to generate a “big split” with each stride. Keep ur hips up under you (don’t drop) And you’ll run fast… I guarantee it • • • #track #trackandfield #speed #d1 #40yarddash #nfl #ncaa #diamondleague #usainbolt #tyreekhill #christiancoleman #shacarririchardson #olympics #running #runningmotivation #trackgirls #motivation #100m #60m #fitness #workout #gym #fredlerley #worldchampionships #bostonuniversity #combine #nflcombine

Being technically sound can drastically change performance. While it takes consistent focus and intention, the rewards always match the sacrifice. @camdyn.key is a hurdler and a sprinter with some of the best technical execution in our group. He has a strong foundation coming out of @fastprep, and it shows in every rep. After running 11.2 last year, he’s clearly on track to hit 10.5 or better this season 📈 🗣️ Technique creates speed. Consistency unlocks it.

Sprint Starts | Quick tip 🚫 DO NOT over-push out of the blocks • Push long, not hard • Let the body rise naturally • Stay relaxed, don’t force it • Build speed step by step 🎯 Goal: smooth acceleration, not max force too early Follow me to see my journey to LA2028 #trackandfield #athlete
