The mist IMPORTANT mechanic when it comes to SPRINTS!🔑 Negative steps are the key to efficient and explosive acceleration!‼️ #speedtraining #athletetraining #spintmechanics #negativestep #runningform

Learn how to accelerate from @nojo18 ‼️ Acceleration is all about how much horizontal displacement we can create and how fast we can create it by applying force into the ground in the proper direction and applying it fast. A few things we need to do this: good hip flexion, good hip extension, & stiff ankles. These qualities are a result of a consistent strength training plan that includes heavy lifting, explosive lifting, plyometrics and SPRINTS. There is no substitute for quality sprint work. Everyone wants the easy way to get fast. It doesn’t exist. Work hard, be consistent and then results will come. Incorporating sprint drills into your routine may not directly make you faster but it can put you in the desired positions. #sprintdrills #sprintmechanics #speedtrainers #athletetraining #howtosprint

🎥 Elite vs Rookie – Sprinting Breakdown In sprinting, small technical details make a huge difference. Unlike endurance running, sprinting is far less forgiving. If you haven’t practiced the right shapes, you can lose a lot of your natural power and speed. Here are three key clips showing the difference between a trained sprinter and someone new to sprinting: 1. Dorsiflexion vs Plantar Flexion Jay’s foot points down (plantar flexion), which delays ground contact and wastes energy. Christa keeps her ankle dorsiflexed (toes up) so the foot strikes quicker, creating a stiffer, more explosive contact. 2. Cutting the Drive Phase Short Jay pops up too quickly instead of driving through. This limits horizontal power and reduces speed potential. Christa stays in her drive longer, projecting forward and gradually rising into upright mechanics. 3. Backside Mechanics Jay’s foot recovers too high and too far behind his body, which slows his stride cycle. Christa keeps her foot tight under her body, cycling forward efficiently for faster turnover. 💡 By the end of the session, Jay had already made huge improvements, proof that with some simple drills and practice, anyone can start to move like a sprinter 🏃🏻💨 #sprints #sprinting #running #runningcoach #athlete #trackandfield

7️⃣ FASTER SPRINTING SKILLS 🚀 - Hit these sprinting exercises before your next training day to help build some emphasis in your form and technique⚡️ Workout details👇 High Knee Kneeling Arm Switch Thigh Switch Sprinter Jumps Tip Toe Unilateral Ankle Hops Heel Walks - Repeat each exercise for 3-4 sets Work 20 seconds per set - #agilitytraining #speedandagility #bandsworkout #athlete #sprinting #athlete #functionalfitnesstraining #viral #instafit #trainlikeanathlete #theparistwins

Do NOT make this sprinting mistake ❌ A common mistake sprinters make is by leaning back when trying to get the high knee technique 🚫 Instead, focus on keeping your hips tall with a slight lean forward and your chest up ✅ You can implement exercises in your sprint training to train your hip flexors to improve in strength if you aren’t able to get them up 🏋🏾♂️ As always, I am NOT a track and field sprint coach and I recommend linking up with one who can further analyze your body and guide you to faster speed 🧠 Follow for more sprint tips from a Pro Olympic Sprinter 💡
