The quiet and intimate moments unfortunately fizzled out in the large and restless hall. I had my first song critique this month and it was so much fun! Judy Stakee is a music publisher and passionate about developing songwriters! It's really important as a songwriter to have that mirror reflecting the strengths and weakness back to you so you can grow! Melody is 100% my strength whilst songwriting is a passion, I have to work at it a bit harder to communicate what I'm trying to say. It's like a puzzle piece and a muscle that continually needs to be strengthened. In this song particularly the feedback was 'every line needs to further the story', whilst finding the balance between description and expressing your feelings/emotions. I had the lyrics but I needed to rewrite parts to make it more clear and also reorder the lines so that its a story that can be followed. #popsoul #emotionalwellbeing #adele25 #emelisande
