🚨Jumper panics and wraps his neck with pilot chute🚨 Back in 2018 My friend wanted me to get a video of his exit but he panicked! Jump altitude was 3,500 feet AGL, being a former static line instructor, I am very used to exiting the plane at 3,500 feet, with over 500 jumps at this altitude. My friend here, no so experienced with around 50 jumps from this altitude. The plan was for me to take the low spot, film his deployment sequence, then for me to pull my parachute after him. On exit, jumper number 2 has an unstable exit and panic pitches the pilot chute on his back and ends up wrapping it around his neck. Struggling to free the entanglement, with very little time at this altitude, jumper 2 fails to release the entanglement and loses altitude awareness. While continuing to free himself, the automatic activation devices (AAD) is engaged and fires the reserve parachute, saving his life. AAD’s have saved hundreds of skydivers lives over the years! This one goes down in the top 5 scariest Skydive’s I’ve been apart of.

Stay humble. Stay precise. #basejump #basejumpisnotacrime #terjunbuana #terjunpayung #videoolahraga

Tonight at the Sisters In Space: SDAZ 2026 SIS we did some circuits! Going from one area to another, learning some awesome things! 1. How to get your canopy EASILY into the deployment bag and checking continuity of your lines on your canopy. 2. How to easily and safely get out of a line twist under canopy. (video here with Storm Kraft and Lady George Hargis and Julie Kirschenbaum) 3. Breathwork with Erika. 4. JLo brought hot chocolate and cookies, and Wendi Corbin had us play a memory game (when I go on a skydive I will bring.... and you have to remember everything in order, adding one item per person). 5. Learning about how an RSL (Reserve Static Line) and MARD (Main Activated Reserve Deployment) work, and WHY, NO MATTER WHAT, you still pull your Reserve handle EVEN if these do work for you. 6. How to properly use a BUFF for those with long hair with Courtney and Sam (to avoid being SCALPED or getting your hair caught in your 3 rings during a cut away. Protecting your hair from the rats nest it becomes in freefall, and how to prevent your buff from coming down over your eyes during freefall) 7. How an AAD (Automatic Activation Device, that deploys your Reserve canopy if you can't, or don't deploy at a safe altitude) works, and the altitudes and speeds they activate at, with Vigil. 8. Learning how to easily get situated in the Otter when we remove out seatbelts, above 1500 feet. How to smoothly and easily, as 2 people need to move to the floor to create room on the benches for the other sardines, ahem, skydivers... Getting out onto the camera step (weird your first time, doing 100 Knotts in a plane, much easier to figure out on the ground) And how to open and close the skyvan door properly. It was such an incredible evening with SO MANY WOMEN (and a few awesome men tagged along as well). We sure are lucky to have this here at Skydive Arizona . Thank you to all of those that put this together! I always learn something new!!! #SkydiverSafety #ItReallyIsASafetyFirstSport #SaferThanDrivingACar

Reflecting back on airborne school… For those wondering, sitting in a parachute on a wooden bench for 5 hours without being able to so much as scratch your nose is pretty miserable. This may have changed in the last 12 years (I went in 2011), but given the Army’s track record, I doubt it. The military writes the text book on making what should be a 4 day course into a 3 week course. If you’ve been to airborne school, you know what I’m talking about. If you haven’t been and know you’re going at some point, have fun 💀. #army #airborne #parachute #jumping #freefal #airborneops #specialforces #staticline #dangerous #PLF #highspeed #specialoperations #jumpmaster #military #armyspecialforces #hooah #hurryupandwait #terminatortraining

BASE jumping off an arch measuring in at just over 100’ tall and a landing area on the smaller side home to trees, boulders and a creek. From wingsuit base to ski base to low BASE jumps the Hayduke 2 is what I use for everything, it does it all! Pretty cool what is possible with a parachute and a dream! 😇 📸@ashleypeterson11 @squirrel.ws #hayduke2 #basejump #low #lowershelf #staticline #arch #Moab
