#diosesbueno #personaltrainer #entrenamiento #educadorafisica #cargasprogresivas #stepup #glúteo #fuerza #entrenadorapersonal #movimientohumano #gluteomayor #stepsups #maquinasmith #machinesmith #entrenamientodegluteo #ejerciciosparagluteos #ejerciciosparapiernas #bootyworkout #bootybuilder #consejos #consejossobreentrenamientomuscular

What are STEP UPS good for? They work a lot of muscles and help you with stability. ✨How to do step ups correctly? Pushing primarily through your lead foot, lift your body up onto the step or box. Then step backward to the starting position with controlled movements. When you’re doing step-ups, keep your back straight and your abdominal muscles nice and tight. Give it a try 🔥 . . . #iampurepower #purepowerfitness #stepup #stepups #howtostepup #glutes #legs #abdominal #calves #hamstrings #letsworkout

⬇️Quick tip for step ups vs step downs‼️ - Step ups tend to target your quads more, BUT it can also vary based on your form! The typical step up that you see me doing here is a quad focused step up 🙌 -Step downs are typically glute focused, as you see me doing in the video, I’m stabilizing my knee and pushing my hips back going slow on the way down, and quicker on the way up 🍑 Neither is better or worse, just depends on the muscle group you’re looking to target!

STEP UPS—FORM TIPS 🔥 Sisters, we’re showing you how to do a glute-focused step-up with the correct form, so you can really feel it in your glutes.🤌 Try to avoid: ❌ Using back leg to push yourself up ❌ Stomping back foot on the ground ❌ Going too fast, having no mind-to-muscle connection Instead: ✅ Maintain a Strong Grip: Ensure a secure hold on the weight to prevent it from shifting during the movement. ✅ Keep Your Core Tight: Engage your core to stabilize your torso and prevent leaning toward the weighted side. ✅ Focus on Driving Through the Heel: Push through the heel of the working leg to maximize glute activation. ✅ Watch Your Knee Alignment: Keep your knee tracking over your foot, avoiding inward or outward wobbling. ✅ Control the Descent: Slowly lower yourself back down to maintain tension in the glutes and prevent using momentum. 📌 Save this post for the next time you need to ensure proper form with your step-ups.

CHECK YOUR FORM - STEP UPS . Step ups (especially using a high box/step) are an underrated exercise for building and strengthening glutes. I know they sound like a simple movement but they require a lot more thought and control than you think, especially if you want to target the glutes! 🍑 . The mistake that most people make with step ups is thinking that the leg on the floor is the working leg. But it's the leg on the box that should be doing all the work, both with raising the other leg from the floor (concentric) and lowering it again (eccentric). . Another big mistake with this exercise is rushing it! Slow it down and really focus on your muscles engaging! ✅ . Here's how to do them correctly: 1️⃣Place your working leg firmly on the box. Tip: I like to perform these laterally (from the side of a box) instead of standing in front of a box as it allows for better balance! 2️⃣Push down through the heel that is on the box. Focus on "feeling" the glute engage. 3️⃣Lean your torso forward slightly while keeping your back flat and "lift" your other leg from the floor. Keep the leg straight and don't bend the knee. This will avoid the temptation to push off from the floor! 4️⃣Extend your hips and allow your leg to come up to the box briefly and then lower it back down to the floor under control. Tip: You should be able to control the descent throughout the entire range of motion. If you can't, your box height is too high! 5️⃣Repeat until you have completed all of your reps for that leg and then switch your working leg. . When you have perfected your form using your body weight you can add dumbbells to increase the difficulty of the movement! . Click save ↗️ to put these tips into practice! 😊 Let me know if you found this helpful!

Step ups or Jump ups? Are you making this common step up mistake? The step up is a great single leg exercise but often the strength or power comes from. The wrong leg. You can see in the first few reps I’m using the down leg to actually cheat and jump up onto the step. This puts the focus on the wrong leg and may increase the stress on the joints. Instead shift the weight to the up leg and think about pulling yourself up or trying to crush the step with you foot. This will help you feel those hips doing what they are suppose to do. #iampremier

24,911

Step-ups are one of the most effective ways to build real-world strength, and they scale really well depending on where you’re starting. If you’re a beginner or coming back from pain, a lower step (like a 6” box) with no weight is a great place to start. Focus on controlled movement, smaller range, and clean alignment, especially keeping the knee tracking in line with the foot. As that starts to feel easier and you’re cruising through higher reps (think 20+), that’s your cue that it’s time to progress. From there, you’ve got options: 👉 Increase step height 👉 Add load 👉 Or both (my preference: height first, then weight) A higher step (like 16”) naturally demands more from your glutes and quads, so you may find you don’t need to consciously “fix” knee position as much, assuming you’ve built that hip strength already. If you’re not maintaining good alignment at any stage, that’s your sign to address hip strength before progressing further. Don’t get too caught up in the exact step height or weight being used here, the principle is what matters: Start simple → master control → increase demand gradually. If step-ups aren’t already in your program, they’re worth adding. Not required at all, any sturdy step or bench works, but if you’re looking for the exact equipment I’m using, it’s linked in my bio. #physicaltherapist #lowerbodystrength #legstrength #beginnerexercise #stepups
