Jeff Nippard’s fiancée, Dr. Stephanie Buttermore, passed away suddenly at age 36, as announced on his Instagram on March 6, 2026. She was his partner of ten years and a fitness influencer with a PhD in biomedical sciences focused on ovarian cancer research. Sincere regards to Jeff Nippard’s wife, Stephanie Buttermore. She was his world, his unwavering support through every lift and life milestone. We all feel this loss deeply, she was the heart behind his grind. Praying Jeff finds strength to keep pushing forward in her honor, and may she rest in peace.

A former IFBB professional and the younger brother of bodybuilding legend Mike Mentzer, Ray died in 2001 from complications related to Berger’s Disease (IgA nephropathy), a kidney disorder. His death occurred just two days after his brother Mike was found dead from heart complications. Tragically, Ray died at age 47 from kidney failure (complications of Berger’s disease) just two days after finding his brother, fellow bodybuilding legend Mike Mentzer, deceased in their shared apartment.
