Setting stones inside rings is always a challenge, pear shape even more so!but I’m always a sucker for a challenging job. Maybe not so much when it comes to fragile stones 🤣, but things like this I love. My client was told this shape couldn’t be set inside a ring, but I figured it was worth the shot. Anybody else like this when clients come with tough jobs? Used my @niqua_jewellery_instruments 123 carbide ball burs for this one, love them 2 weeks left until @vicenzaoro where I’ll be in the Niqua booth demonstrating these same burs and much more! Today, I’m starting from the step of opening the seat for the stone. In star setting, the area around the stone is bright-cut to create a crisp, sparkling outline.
