Earlier this year Hooters files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, and as a result some of our favorite locations are going away. The only remaining Hooters in New York State is located in Albany!!! As of February 16th, 2026 you can no longer eat at Hooters on Long Island. Since 2013, this location in Farmingdale NY stood tall as an establishment you could eat at, watch the game, and hang with your friends after a long day at work. Is Hooters a sign of the times? RIP Hooters of Fresh Meadows 📍 61-09 190th St, Fresh Meadows, NY 11365 🚨 Closed as of February 24, 2025 🚨 This one really hurts. It truly feels like the end of an era. We’ve been coming here regularly since before the pandemic. It was always our go-to spot when we couldn’t decide where to eat. Chun came for the beer, I came for the food — and we both stayed for the vibe. It was comfortable, familiar, and always a good time. Yes, I’ve seen all the news surrounding Hooters, and we had a feeling this day might come. But we didn’t let that stop us from enjoying it while it lasted. And to think, we were just here last Saturday. I’m so glad we got one last hoorah in. Some people will say the food or service wasn’t great — but that was never our experience. For us, it was always great food and nothing but friendly service. Thank you for the memories 💛 #hooters #closed #rip
