Some of my favorite photos captured in Vietnam 🇻🇳 I brought one camera with me and it was the @sonycine FX3. I wanted to keep my load light on the motorbike and even though it’s deemed a cinema camera, I’d say it can take some pretty darn solid photos! Also paired it with the @polarpro VND’s with the Helix MagLock system. Each of these photos has a story behind it, and the beauty of a visual medium is that I get transported back each time I view them. I’d ask people if I can take a photo of them and they’d get all shy with the biggest smile and then say it was okay. I learned how to say “you look beautiful” in Vietnamese so that I could reassure people when they felt self conscious (like we all do). Seeing the look on someone’s face, especially in rural parts, when I show them a photo of themselves is such a fun part of traveling for me. I should’ve taken more pictures when I had you. A cliché song to choose, considering today is the Super Bowl (for which I am not watching/boycotting. I’m not into US football anyway 🤷🏻‍♀️) and Bad Bunny is performing the halftime show. But, the sentiment of wishing I took more photos in Vietnam (as well as the Philippines), is true.
