What is with the hate towards surfskates? I fell in love with the flow and feel of surfskates, but I still crave the challenge and variety of other skate disciplines. I've seen surfskates getting hate for years now, and I am pretty good at just ignoring it, but after hearing an advertisement on @thebuntlive the other day, with my fellow Canadians trashing surfskates, it made me think I wanted to put together a short highlight reel of some of the things I've done in the past year or so on my surfskates. You can do almost anything on a surfskate, maybe some tricks are a little more challenging and others a little easier, but I just love being able to flow in between tricks generating speed just by carving and pumping. I know people will say that "this is just skateboarding" - sure, it is all skateboarding at the end of the day, but the surfskate allows for a different flow and style in between tricks. And don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with people who want to surfskate more traditionally and not do any tricks, to each their own. But this is me doing what I love and what drives me to push myself and challenge myself. It makes me happy.
