#Switch Plates

The switches in our 1980s home don’t make any sense. Some are almond, some are gray, some are white. They’ve bothered me long enough. This project was simple (I did it while cooking dinner!) and I used supplies I already had. Here’s how I upgraded our switches and switch plates: ⚡️Turn off the power breaker. Safety first! 🪛Remove switch plate and clean. 🫟 Spray paint. Be sure to get all the sides and the tops of the screws! I used my favorite gold: Rustoleum Bright. 🎛️ Re-install switch plate. ⭐️ (Optional) Use Rub n Buff on the switches. I used the color Antique Gold. I left the white switches and only made the almond and gray ones gold. The white looked nice to me. The mismatch was not the vibe. Replacing these with new covers and switches would have cost hundreds of dollars and this was a $0 upgrade! So happy I did this.
