PLAYGROUPS SOLVE SO MANY PROBLEMS! Understaffed? PGs can be done by 2 folks (staff or volunteers) and you can rotate 10+ dogs every 15 minutes. My record is 60 dogs in 2.5 hours with just one volunteer helping. Need enrichment? 15 minutes of quality playgroup is the equivalent of 2 hours of walking. Behavior concerns? With the right helper, dogs, playgroup can reduce reactivity, build confidence in scared dogs, and prevent mental deterioration in high risk dogs. Low adoption numbers? Playgroup makes dogs significantly more adoptable and gives you better information on what type of home a dog can go into, expanding the list of potential adopters. Low morale? Nothing can make people smile more than a puppy party. Yes, it can be intimidating to start a playgroup without the proper knowledge to avoid or interrupt arguments. Gimbal wouldn’t even turn on it was so cold Safety precautions: we had a floatation device that could hold both of us + gear, throw rope and a tow line, lifejackets, and wetsuits + winter immersion gear on. We had an on land safety contact and notified the police marine unit of our location and our safety gear. We have years of cold water and ice safety training and actively go over our rescue plan. We check the ice frequently before proceeding. No ice is Safe ice, but there are safe ways to appreciate it. We are grateful to be able to share it :)

Ace's 2nd solo from 'Deuce'. This is a fun one to play. Those rapid fire licks sound great through a cranked Marshall (or in my case, a cranked AmpliTube equivalent), and they also sit under the fingers nicely for live use. I definitely use the first one at literally every single rock gig I play, especially when I want to melt some faces. But there's actually also more nuance and subtlety tucked inside this solo than meets the eye, especially in the little 'in-between' licks. Cool to know this is the first song all 4 band members ever jammed on. Reposted from @theiranianvegan Feb. 18 - Happy Sepandarmazgan 💘 PERSIAN SHIRINI ZABAN / TONGUE PASTRY RECIPE ⬇️ INGREDIENTS: - 1 roll of puff pastry (I used @jus_rol) - 1 cup sugar - 1 cup boiling water - 1/6th tsp of ground saffron (equivalent to one pinch of saffron strands, ground) - 1 tbsp rosewater - 0.5 tsp cardamom powder - Half of a lime - 1 tbsp sesame seeds - Pistachio powder and/or coconut shavings for garnish METHOD: 1. Preheat your oven to 200C. 2. Make sure you take the puff pastry out of the fridge just before you are about to use it. Do not let it sit out at room temperature. 3. To make the syrup, first pour 1 cup of water to a pot and bring to a boil. Add in the ground saffron and allow it to simmer for 1-2 minutes. 4. Then add the sugar, followed by cardamom. Allow it to simmer on a medium heat for another 5 minutes. Then add the lime juice and rosewater, give it a mix and turn off the heat. 5. Allow it to cool completely. 6. With a ruler cut the puff pastry into equal small rectangles. Mine were 7cmx5cm but it depends on the size of your puff pastry sheet. 7. Cut a line in the middle of half of your rectangles, leaving half without the lines. 8. Ensure that your pastry is on baking paper. Spread some of your cooled saffron syrup to a base layer (the one without a line), and then place a rectangle piece with a line on top. Repeat for all the pieces. 9. Then brush on another layer of the saffron syrup on top and sprinkle on some sesame seeds. 10. Bake at 200 for 15 minutes or until they have risen and become nicely golden. 11. Take it out of the oven, and while still hot apply another layer of saffron syrup. Allow it to cool and then they are ready to eat. Garnish with pistachio powder, coconut shavings and optional rose petals. 12. Keep in an airtight container at room temperature. Nooshe joon.
