THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE VISITING TEAM LABS PLANET IN TOKYO 1. Book your reservations in advance (I personally recommend at least a month). The easiest and most convenient way is to book your tickets with @klooktravel 2. I recommend booking the earliest time slot and also arriving 30 minutes before opening. The lines get really crazy! 3. For the best experience, walk the exhibition twice! TeamLab Borderless – Museo digitale senza confini teamLab Borderless è un museo d’arte digitale immersiva dove le opere non sono confinate in stanze statiche, ma si muovono, cambiano e si fondono l’una con l’altra. There is 4 artwork spaces and 2 gardens, so you’ll need at least 1.5 hours to explore everywhere fully! You go completely barefoot through this experience, as you’re walking through water, flowers and LED lights. I did not expect so many people from all over the world to resonate with this video which featured our experience at TeamLabs Planets in Tokyo, Japan. This was our first visit to the museum and we were surprised that we had to go barefoot in order to enter. I lost count the number of times I said ‘wow’ out loud and it goes the same for @tohvahkiin. It felt like home; like a massive huge playground where we could play and explore the place like a child again. Everyone’s faces were plastered with a smile. Some were left in awe. This video doesn’t do justice to this place because our phones and camera can’t even capture the beauty of this museum. It was so dark so I just capture some footages and spent the rest of the time exploring every corner of the space. It’s like another universe; a safe space where you can truly be yourself again. I was truly inspired by this work of art and wonder are there similar places like this in other parts of the world. “Is teamLab Planets worth the hype?” I’ve gotten this question a few times and my short answer is - 100% yes!  I truly enjoyed my experience here and it truly is a masterpiece of interactive art. If you ever make it before it closes at the end of this year (2023), here are some things that you need to know before you go: ‼️UPDATE (August 29th): teamLab has announced that due to popular demand, they’ve extended their operations until the end of 2027! * It is an immersive museum and you will explore the area barefoot. * Free lockers are available to put your stuff in including your footwear. * The slot you book means that it is your entry time but you can stay for as long as you’d like. * Tickets are selling out super fast so I recommend booking way in advance. * To get the best chance for a photo of the orchids with no one else around, book the first slot of the day. * Expect the museum to be crowded and taking photos where there's no one else in the background is going to be challenging, although not impossible. Finding the right angles and patience is key. * There’s not much of a difference between the daytime and nighttime slots. As you can see in the last clips, the only area that looks different is the “Moss Garden of Resonating Microcosm” or what others call the silver egg room, as they light up with colors at night. * There are several rooms with mirrored floors so if you are wearing a skirt or a dress, wear shorts underneath. There are also shorts available which you can borrow for free. * You’ll have to pass through some areas with water up to knee-deep so make sure you are wearing bottoms that can be easily rolled up. * You can stay for as long as you want in each room except for the orchid room Click the link in my bio to book your tickets and use code “THELARACHANNEL” to get 5% off!
