🚨 Do you have tooth sensitivity that never seems to go away? In this video, I break down 3 common causes and science-backed solutions you can start using today! 👇👇👇 ▶️ Neck & Nerve Connection: The trigeminal nerve is the main sensory nerve for the face, jaw, and teeth, but it shares a connection with the upper cervical spine (C1-C3) via the trigemino-cervical nucleus. If there’s compression, poor posture, or instability in this area, nerve signals can misfire, causing referred pain and tooth sensitivity even when there’s no actual dental issue. 🧠 ✅ Solution: Decompress the neck by working on posture, mobility, and deep neck flexor activation. Studies suggest chin tucks, suboccipital release, and gentle traction help relieve nerve irritation. If you wake up with tension, check your pillow height—it should keep your head neutral, not tilted up or down. ▶️ Silent Reflux (LPR) & Enamel Erosion: Unlike typical acid reflux, LPR (laryngopharyngeal reflux) doesn’t always cause heartburn. Instead, acid creeps upand can erode enamel over time, leading to tooth sensitivity, a constant need to clear your throat, post-nasal drip, or a dry cough. Studies confirm that reducing acid exposure can significantly improve tooth sensitivity. 🍋 ✅ Solution: Use these evidence-based supplements for acid regulation: * Slippery Elm (400-500mg, 2x daily before meals) – Soothes and coats the esophagus. * DGL (Deglycyrrhizinated Licorice, 300-600mg before meals) – Reduces inflammation and strengthens the mucosal lining. * Calcium Carbonate (500-1000mg as needed, away from iron supplements) – Temporarily neutralizes stomach acid. * Probiotics (Lactobacillus reuteri, taken before bed) – Supports gut health and reduces reflux symptoms. * Magnesium Glycinate (400mg before bed) – Helps relax the lower esophageal sphincter (LES), preventing acid backup. #toothsensitivity #bruxism #neckpain #tmj #acidreflux #silentreflux #dentalhealth #wellness #painrelief

Reason behind your sensitive teeth! 🦷 Inside the teeth are things called dentin tubules. The function of of these tubules is to bring nutrition to the tooth and flush our toxins. If your lymphatic drainage is blocked, the tubules cannot flush out the teeth. This creates back up swelling underneath the teeth and causes sensitivity💥 Decrease your sensitivity by opening up lymphatic channels and decreasing the swelling inside the teeth Stay tuned to learn how to flush your head & neck lymphatics and decrease teeth sensitivity 🦷 Some of our fave bio dentists @biological_dentist @drleedia @drdome1 . . . . #teethcare #lymphaticdrainage #lymphdrainage #lymphatichealth #biologicaldentistry #healthtipsoftheday Lymphatic drainage, teeth sensitivity, lymphatic drainage, head and neck drainage

Let me save your teeth 🛟 Do not make the same mistakes I made. I’m a dentist of 41 years about this is my tried and true advice. 1️⃣I stopped brushing aggressively Brushing too hard wears down enamel and exposes dentin, leading to sensitivity. Switching to a soft-bristled toothbrush and gentle brushing technique protects enamel. 2️⃣I started rinsing with water after acidic foods and drinks Acidic things like coffee, wine, and soda erode enamel. Drinking water alongside buffers the acid attack on enamel. 3️⃣I stopped brushing after I eat or drink. Right after drinking or eating, the enamel is in its weakest state, and most sensitive to damage from sharp bristles. Wait at least 45 minutes before brushing. 4️⃣I stopped grinding my teeth. Teeth grinding wears down enamel and can cause cracks. I treated the root cause of my grinding by treating my sleep apnea and sleeping with a mandinular advancement device which both protects my teeth and keeps my airway open while in deep sleep. 5️⃣I started replacing my toothbrush every FOUR WEEKS instead of the recommended 8-12 weeks. Worn out bristles act like tiny knives on enamel. Is it more expensive? Yes. But wouldn’t you rather be able to eat ice cream without pain? Want to know more about managing sensitive teeth? Here is an easy at home test to see if your teeth are dirty! Take 30 seconds to move your tongue around the surfaces of your teeth. Make sure to reach all the way down to your gumline Now how did it feel to your tongue? Your teeth should feel like glass. If they feel fuzzy or like they’re wearing a sweater, that means that they are covered in a biofilm that contains plaque, bacteria and possibly even calcium buildup If your teeth feel fuzzy or rough, it could mean that you missed a spot with your toothbrush, you can go back in and brush or floss that area again until it feels smooth. If you can’t get your teeth to feel like smooth glass, it could be a sign that the teeth need to be professionally cleaned to avoid permanent complications I do this trick every time I brush my teeth to make sure I’ve cleaned my teeth thoroughly Did you try it?
