You don’t need plants in the ground yet to see the potential. These Dirt Locker rows turn a slope into usable space before anything is planted. Once the structure is in place, the hard part is done. Soon these terraces will be full of life, but even now they’re already doing the work of holding soil, shaping the land, and creating a foundation that lasts. Start with the structure. The garden will follow. Install now, plant later. Are you ready to start your DIY Dirt Locker journey? Download our free app to measure your slope and get a quick estimate. If your hillside struggles to keep plants alive, it’s usually because the water is moving wrong. Too fast and your plants don’t get the water they need. In just one direction (down), your soil washes away with the water. When you terrace a slope you add contour and structure to the hillside which will slow the water allowing it to spread outward and absorb efficiently. Water can then penetrate the plant roots to help them to further bind to the soil and secure your slope over the long term. When you slow down water, you also save your soil. You don’t want to wake up to an eroding hillside in your yard one day. Act now. Build stronger slopes. #hillsideterracing #erosioncontrol #gardenhacks #landscpedesign #sustainablegardening

Landscaping a sloped yard is hard. It is one of the most common problems homeowners and contractors run into, and one of the most difficult to solve the right way. On a slope, everything works against you. Soil moves. Water runs off instead of soaking in. Plants struggle to establish. Mulch washes away. Grass dies in patches. Weeds take over. Then it turns into constant cleanup, replanting, and trying to keep the yard from eroding every time it rains. Even irrigation is harder on a hillside. It takes more water to keep anything alive, and the water you do use often ends up going downhill instead of into the ground where it belongs. The result is usually the same. A lot of effort, a lot of maintenance, and a yard that still feels like a fight. Dirt Locker changes that by making slopes easier to landscape from the start. Instead of battling gravity, you create stable terraces that hold soil in place, support healthy plant growth, and naturally control erosion. Once you have a system that stabilizes the slope, everything gets simpler. Planting is easier. Water stays where it is needed. A drip system can be incorporated cleanly. You can finally plan the garden you actually want, instead of designing around what the slope will allow. And the best part is, when it’s finished, it won’t just look better. It will look like the yard everyone else wishes they had. #landscaping #landscapedesign #gardendesign #outdoorliving #backyardgoals

Introducing Terraced and Hillside Gardens…GrownByYou Terraced hillsides and multilevel planters make for the most attractive and interesting of all gardens. They also convert difficult to landscape slopes into productive garden beds.🌿 Terracing dramatically increases the area available for growing vegetables or flowers. Hillsides become a series of stepped beds, walled on the downslope side, and filled with rich garden soil.🌿 Gentle slopes may require only simple wood timber retainers, while steeper locations need masonry foundations, drain lines to divert water, and even engineering in some cases.🌿 The result is a series of fertile planting spots, less erosion, and flat surfaces for paths and easy access.🌿 Learn more, at this link: 🔗https://grownbyyou.com/planning/the-guide-to-productive-gardens/hillside-terrace-gardens/ GrownByYou: We’re All About How.℠ #hillsidegardens #terraces #terracedgardens #terracingslopes #terracedhills #hillsidegardens #landscaping

That slope isn’t a problem, it’s the start of a garden. Dirt Locker hillside systems retain soil, reduce erosion, slow water runoff, and create stable garden beds that grow healthier plants while using less water (and saving money). The soil blower is indeed a time saver, but it is optional, you can backfill however you like. 📍Dirt Locker install by Moss Landscape Design Group of Atlanta, Georgia. #landscapedesign #hillsidegarden #sustainableliving #backyardprojects #gardengram
