READ BELOW ‼️ In this video i use both scissors for weight removal by adjusting the angle and working only on the surface but in general we can use scissors in so many ways… Here more info about the difference between them. Texturizing shears and thinning shears are both used for modifying hair volume and texture, but they serve different purposes: 1. **Thinning Shears**: - **Purpose**: Reduce hair bulk and thickness evenly. - **Blade Structure**: They have fine teeth on one side and a straight blade on the other, allowing them to cut a small percentage of hair with each snip. - **Effect**: Helps make thick hair more manageable by removing excess weight, but without altering the overall hairstyle drastically. 2. **Texturizing Shears**: - **Purpose**: Create texture, movement, and layers in the hair. - **Blade Structure**: These have wider teeth than thinning shears, sometimes on both blades, which results in cutting larger sections of hair. - **Effect**: Adds dimension and volume by creating more dramatic, noticeable texture without thinning the hair too much. Do you use Texturizing , blending or both and why #barber #hairstylist

Tips for thinning and texturizing hair with texturizing shears! 1. Don’t mess with the perimeter! Leave some wiggle room to not thin out the bottom length. 2. Use the first 1/4 to thin hair from deep inside. Again this is about wiggle room and making sure you don’t over do it. 3. Pick the same section up again and double down on the ends of the hair. This will give your client and good weightless feeling and longevity in her cut. Used @hanzonation shear ⚡️ #haircut#longhair#haircutting#thinninghair#thickhair#hairstylist#hairtutorial

•texturizing shears• They can be you best friend or your worst enemy. Properly using them can get you the best results. Using them incorrectly can give be horrible. But this can be with any cutting tool we use. There is all kinds of rumors why they’re bad! But they’re not. I create a softness in hair which I can’t get from point cutting. I can create a texture that does not damage hair. I’m not saying this is the only way. There are so many ways to soften and texturize hair. If a technique works for you go with it. There are no wrongs in what technique you use. Hair does not frizz/ damage from them. This is my opinion 1. Your shears aren’t sharpe 2. It’s not a show when cutting hair when cutting make sure the shears close so when you pull the shear out it comes out smoothly and doesn’t pull hair out causing frizz 3. Take small sections so your hair glides thru when cutting. 4. Make sure the hair is smoothed out it will make it easier for you when cutting. 3 common mistakes when texturizing hair with a feather razor ✂️ The feather razor is a powerful tool, but only when it’s used correctly. Here are 3 mistakes I see very often that can negatively affect the haircut and the hair behavior: 1️⃣ Using the feather razor too close to the roots Using the feather razor on the first half of the hair length starting from the roots can create guide hairs and unpredictable reactions. Depending on the hair growth pattern and implantation, this can lead to unwanted volume and loss of control in the shape of the haircut. 👉 Always be mindful of where you texturize 2️⃣ Using it on very fine, low-density hair On very fine and low-density hair, the feather razor can create too much space between the hairs, making the initial problem even more visible. 👉 For this hair type, it’s better to use the point cutting technique, which allows more control and preserves density. 3️⃣ Overusing the elbow and forearm during the technique Engaging too much elbow and forearm movement reduces precision and control over the texturizing ratio. 👉 Instead, keep the arm still. Use minimal wrist movement, and let the fingers do most of the work for better accuracy. #hair #haircut #barber #barberbordeaux #coiffeurbordeaux

Are texturizing shears bad for your hair? Theres a a lot of opinion about them. In my opinion they’re amazing. They just have to be used right. It’s not the shear it’s the person using them. They’re not for everyone and some clients say no to them which is ok. I’m not an ego manic about hair that I know it all so if a client doesn’t like them I won’t use them. Cutting into hair/ texturizing is not a paint by numbers technique. For me it’s visual you have to look at what you’re cutting into across the hair so you don’t create shorter layers, make sure that you’re not over cutting into hair, make sure the scissor are closing fully before pulling them out and not snagging and causing frizz, not cutting into the last section which will create the unbalance of texture. I can go on for days about it. Don’t do it just to do it have intention of why you’re cutting into it. It’s a great technique that can detail and make the hair lay soft not choppy and give life to the hair. I also use shear that takes out less about 20% which makes it easier if I need to go back in a can rather the opposite. Less is always more in my opinion. I’m all about balance symmetry with this technique. Look at my clients hair does it look balanced and soft. She has a ton of hair so it’s easy to make it heavy. Remember it’s not the shear it’s the person using them Less is always more And keep it simple Love y’all DomDom

Speed or precision? . I typically use blending/texture shears for weight removal on the sides and back of the head, but the Koa 14 from @freshshears are chunkerrrrssss. They add a dramatic effect when it comes to texture. And for point cutting, the Maki 5.5 gives me complete control. . . . 🎥- @nickolaas.media . . . #barber #barbershopconnect #haireducation #barbershop #barberlove #modernsalon #freshshears #hair #scissors #techniques
