A 3.5 hour flight turned into 6 hours. We sat on the plane for 1.5 hours. Then we had to deboard. A passenger was removed. We reboarded. We missed our connection. The reason? An argument over an armrest. And the whole time I kept thinking… It’s rarely about the armrest. Travel is stressful. Life is heavy. We never really know what someone else is carrying. But we always have a choice in how we respond. Choose patience. Choose grace. Choose kindness. If this resonates, share it. We all need more of that. 🤍✈️

If you do only one thing today, share, like and tag this video @aircanada below. Air travel is a shared experience and, shared experiences require shared respect. One major airline just made headphone courtesy enforceable. Not suggested. Not implied. Required. Because etiquette isn’t outdated… it’s operational excellence. It’s leadership. It’s brand reputation at 30,000 feet. Imagine if Canadian travel set the global standard for civility in the skies. Quiet cabins. Thoughtful boarding. Respect for personal space. If you believe we can elevate the experience at home, tag @aircanada and let’s start the conversation. Let’s make courtesy contagious.

Flight attendants deal with more pressure, more dysregulated people, and more competing needs in one flight than most of us face in a week. This is not a dig at them, but an example I experienced on a recent flight where this phrase was repeated to a seemingly deaf plane. You may recognize similar language in your own day. ❌ “A friendly reminder to pay your deposit today.” ❌ “Kindly remember to send your meal requests today.” ❌ “Would you kindly remind me about…” Instead, lead with clarity. ✅”We’re looking forward to your trip. To confirm your spot, your deposit is due by 5:00 PM today.” ✅”I’m meeting with our Kitchen Manager today. Would you send over your meal requests by 5:00 PM?” ✅”Would you remind me what departure time you shared?” What examples of fake friendliness have you noticed?

Flight Attendant demands tip for service! 😡 #airtravel #gratuity #flightattendant Airline Tests “Deplaning Gratuity” Program A domestic airline is facing backlash after introducing what it calls a “voluntary deplaning gratuity initiative.” According to passengers onboard the flight, the aircraft had already landed and the cabin door was open when a flight attendant made an unexpected final announcement. Instead of the usual thank-you message, travelers say the attendant informed the cabin that the airline is now encouraging crew members to request gratuities directly from passengers upon arrival. Moments later, witnesses report the attendant held up her phone displaying a large Venmo QR code, inviting passengers to scan it as they exited the aircraft. Several passengers described the moment as “awkward but very official.” One traveler stated, “The door was open. We were literally lining up to leave. And she said the company wants them to start requesting tips to offset rising costs.” Another passenger claimed the announcement included suggested gratuity language such as, ‘If you appreciated today’s service, feel free to show support as you deplane.’ The airline has since confirmed it is “exploring new engagement models” that allow customers to directly support cabin crew members. In a statement, the company said, “Our flight attendants are safety professionals who play a vital role in every journey. This initiative gives customers an opportunity to recognize exceptional service.” However, critics argue that passengers already face additional fees for baggage, seat selection, and priority boarding — and say expanding tipping into air travel raises larger questions about compensation structures in the industry. At this time, the airline says participation is voluntary. Passengers, however, say declining felt… noticeable. Industry analysts note this may be the first time a U.S. carrier has informally integrated personal digital payment platforms into the deplaning process. The company says it is monitoring customer feedback.

I couldn't even get mad. I used my time wisely, got some work done, and will finish up when I land. But what's the point? ➡️#ByAnyMeans Necessary I've got at least 1 soul to touch and I WILL do it. In the meantime, pray for all pilots, flight attendants, airline personnel, and airport staff. They're doing their best. 🙏🏾

This Flight Attendant is a Real Hero!! ✈️🙌 She noticed “HELP” written on a passenger’s thigh and immediately realized something was wrong. In situations like this, crew members can intervene and remove a disruptive passenger. Follow For More! ✅ @attybigal #law #travel #safety

He was NOT ready for that responsibility 😩 #airplane #travel #flightattendant #customerservice #passenger

The longer you travel, the more you start noticing the invisible choreography that makes a flight work. Cabin crew are essentially managing a moving village at 35,000 feet — hundreds of people, tiny spaces, changing conditions, safety procedures, service, medical issues, delays, turbulence, all while remaining calm and polite no matter what’s happening around them. And over the years I’ve realised there are a few things passengers do that seem harmless, but are actually surprisingly rude (or at least exhausting) for the crew. Here are a few most people don’t realise. 1. Pressing the call button for things you could easily wait for. That little light isn’t really meant for a second drink or another napkin. It’s there so crew can respond quickly to people who genuinely need assistance. 2. Standing in the galley to chat. The galley isn’t a lounge — it’s their working space. It’s where they prepare service, communicate with each other and sometimes just catch a breath. 3. Ignoring instructions during boarding or turbulence. It might seem like routine announcements, but those instructions exist because the crew are legally responsible for everyone’s safety on board. 4. Treating them like waiters rather than safety professionals. Hospitality is part of their role, but their primary job is actually safety. They train extensively for emergencies most passengers never think about. 5. Forgetting that their working day started long before you boarded. Crew often arrive hours earlier for briefings, safety checks and preparation — and their pay on many airlines doesn’t even start until the aircraft door closes. The best flights I’ve had have always been the ones where passengers remember that simple thing: there are real people behind the uniform doing an incredibly demanding job. A little awareness goes a long way at 35,000 feet. ⸻ If you enjoy noticing the small systems behind travel — the things most people never really think about — you’ll probably feel at home here @freedomfamilytravel

Top 5 things passengers do that I LOVE as a flight attendant ✈️🤍 1️⃣ When you take your headphones out and speak LOUDLY so I can hear you over the loud plane noises. If I have to say “what…. WHAT…. WHAT WAS THAT?!”… you’re being too quiet. 2️⃣ When you bring the crew treats…. It seriously makes us SO happy. We pay attention & appreciate the love. 3️⃣ When you acknowledge that we are humans too & not just your servant 🤣 saying the simple “thank you” is appreciated more than you know. 4️⃣ When you don’t walk around without shoes. It’s just gross to be barefoot in a plane, don’t do it 🤮 5️⃣ When you read the card in front of you that tells you every beverage we offer so I don’t have to try to list them for you 🥂 If you’ve ever done any of these, just know your crew notices… and we appreciate you so much!! Sit in your assigned seats and let the flight attendant handle these types of situations 🗣️ #flightattendant #travel #passengers #airport #airlines

After years working as a flight attendant, you see almost everything that happens inside an aircraft cabin. Some passengers are incredibly respectful, but others forget that flying is a shared space with hundreds of people. A little basic etiquette would make flying better for everyone.✈️ #cabincrew #aviation #crewlife #flightattendant Visuals in this video are Al-generated for illustration purposes only.
