God created each of us with a purpose, but it was never meant to be about us. It’s not to satisfy our own desires or build our own name… it’s to bring Him glory. When we stop chasing purpose for our glory and start living for His, that’s when we find a joy that lasts longer than any platform, feeling, or success ever could. These three strategies cut through all of that. 1. The Disappearance Test: Write down your three biggest goals. For each one, ask yourself out loud: "If the person I'm trying to impress disappeared tomorrow, would I still do this?" If the answer is no, cut the goal. Most people are chasing things that only matter because someone is watching. This eliminates all of it. 2. The Energy Log: For the next 48 hours, set an alarm every two hours. When it goes off, write down what you were doing and rate your energy from 1 to 10. After 48 hours, look for anything you rated an 8 or above. You can't think your way to your purpose but your own behavior will tell you exactly where it lives if you pay attention. 3. The Five Year Test: Write your purpose down in one sentence. Then ask yourself: can I finish this in five years? If you can, rewrite it. Real purpose isn't a destination. It's a direction. A goal has a finish line. Purpose doesn't. If you want to find your purpose, start by getting clear on four things: your values, your passions, your strengths, and your outlet. Write them down in four columns; what you believe in, what you love doing, what you’re naturally good at, and how those show up in the real world. The magic happens when these overlap. If your current job or lifestyle doesn’t give you an outlet to express your values and passions, that’s a signal something is off. Purpose isn’t something you randomly discover, it’s something you design by aligning what matters to you with how you actually spend your time.
