The Romantics only had the instrumental backing track finished for Talking in Your Sleep and realized it was too good to leave behind, so they finished the lyrics and melody in just a few days for release on their album “In Heat” in 1983. It was actually the Detroit band’s only US Top 10 hit despite their massive reputation.
