This was one CRAZY minute of panic. I stepped into the backyard for a moment, and when I came back, my daughter had locked the door. We’d never tried having her follow these kinds of instructions before, so I had to keep my cool on the outside even though I was panicking inside. I turned it into a bit of a game, encouraging her and making it fun so she wouldn’t feel stressed. When she finally unlocked the door, the relief was instant—and I couldn’t have been more proud of my little girl. let’s just say, I learned a lot from this experience and will make sure it never happens again!
