Step 2: Place a fork in the middle of the tshirt and start twisting it until the shirt spirals and folds itself. Keep adjusting the sides while folding to get a precise spiral fold Step 3: Tie your spiral fold with rubber bands to give at least 6 sections and dye as shown in the video. Step 4: Zip it for 12-24 hours. The longer you keep, the better the color vibrancy. Materials - Little Birdie One Step Tie-Dye Kit (Flat 20% Off), white fabric, Water, plastic bottle/tube . Tip: If you are using new fabric, always wash your fabric once and iron it to avoid any wrinkles and sizing. . Tip 2 : Lightly wet your fabric (it should be damp before adding the colors) . 1️⃣ Double Accordian Fold color Block technique: . Fold your fabric into a zig zag fold first & you'll be left with a long vertical strip Now repeat the same accordian/zig zag fold to make square shape like shown. . - Using 2 pieces of cardboard secure them with rubber bands so they stay in place. . - Add in your favourite shades of Tie-Dye on both sides. 2️⃣ Diamond Pattern Folded Tie Dye Technique: - Lay the fabric flat on the desk. - Accordion fold the fabric from the bottom up just like the first method - Turn the strip in a vertical position and fold the bottom corner of the fabric at a 90-degree angle, creating a triangle shape. Using that triangle shape as a guide, repeat an accordion fold until you are left with a single ‘triangle’ of fabric – as shown. Tightly secure the triangle with rubber bands on both corners. Apply the dye colors of your choice, leaving the center. 3️⃣ Shibori Tie Dye Technique - Lay the fabric flat. Roll the fabric around a plastic/tube– we used an old water bottle. Secure the twine on one end and tie it around the bottle. Tightly scrunch both ends of the fabric toward the center. Apply the dye to the fabric. Rotate the bottle and repeat till the fabric is saturated. .
