I spent so many years of my life wishing for smallness, to be anything other than what I was, and now I can’t imagine waisting one more minute wishing to be smaller. If you’re in the depths of it and that’s all that consumes your thoughts please know there is so much more to life than being small! when I heard this poem by @josiebalka it brought tears to my eyes immediately. And brought me back to a time when those thoughts did consume me. And I just felt compelled to share my thoughts on this topic. Smallness and thinness have once again become prevalent in the media and in our everyday lives. It feels like it’s being thrown in our faces constantly. I know how hard it can be to ignore the noise and to do the self work it takes to accept your body and find confidence in a world that tells us not to.
