American's are NOT TIPPING servers & bartenders! #fatigue #tip #tipping #tipculture #tippingculture #serviceindustry #fatigue

so you’re a traveller…? you come alive being thrown in an international city long haul flights new cultures new towns all the thrills of being an expat no matter for how long or how short believe me I get it. but often times what it takes as a waitress to create the financial space to save up for a trip like that can be a LOT in the service industry. enjoying an international jaunt can be great but at the cost of taking on more shifts more physical wear on your body more late nights running around ragged is it really sustainable in the long run?! honestly, no. that’s why when I saw when I could afford my entire international adventure just by making one sale instead of taking on more restaurant work I knew I had found the side gig for me. if you’re ready to break the work save come home broke and return to restaurant cycle if you’re searching for an exit strategy out of the service industry DM me “waitress” and I’ll share my free webclass explaining how it can be done ✨

Life hack to navigating the tipping culture in USA. 🤭 what can I say, I’m a glass half full kind of person (like literally my glass is half full so I guess the server did their job and so I gotta tip). #livinginusa #funny #lifehack

Why are we tipping on an iPad where ai just ordered my own food?! Pay people a living wage!!! #money #restaurant #tip #work

and while we are at it, so is waitressing if im being totally honest and here’s what I mean: so long as any boss has time, financial, behavioral and environmental control over you your “security” is not in your hands. just because your salary comes in a bi weekly paycheck and a servers comes in cash or in a check after a shift BOTH SCENARIOS PAY YOUR BILLS but also BOTH PARTIES are essentially renting your income instead of owning it yourself and that’s where the problem is not in the “not real way” of earning through hospitality. I’ve watched parents work their whole lives for jobs that have let them go in a moments notice I’ve also seen co workers be loyal to restaurants and break their legs and suddenly they too are without an income both suck both are not secure and BOTH are the reason I decided to learn how to earn my income from high ticket sales online so that I could be in control of my future because that seemed like the most “secure” option out there and that’s what I wish more people knew. that said, serving CAN make you feel stuck on top of that customers LOVE to ask “when are you gonna get a REAL job?!?🫠” and you’re left feeling discouraged, ( shame?!) even though you’re making incredible money and wondering if this is gonna be the rest of your life?! believe me I GET IT. but a few years ago I came across an opportunity online that was so uniquely different and unlike anything I’d seen before and I knew if I pursued it it would be the thing to take me out of the industry for good it aligned with my values in holistic health, community, travel and living life from a place of OVERFLOW instead of lack it’s made me come alive lit up and hopeful for my future instead of discouraged and down. If you’re someone that knows that broke backpacker cycle all too well and always returns to restaurants because “What else?!” DM me WAITRESS and I’ll send you a free web class on how to break that cycle once and for all.

Never do these things, when you are in the US 🇺🇸 1️⃣ In American culture, it’s important to respect boundaries. Always ask before interacting with someone’s pet or child. People in the U.S. value privacy. A quick “May I?” before touching a pet or saying hello to a child goes a long way. 2️⃣ Even if its a wedding or any other function, In the U.S., being on time is taken very seriously. Arriving late, even by just a few minutes can leave a bad impression, whether it’s for a class, a job, or an interview. Punctuality shows that you respect other people’s time and responsibilities. If something unavoidable happens and you might be late, it’s important to inform the person as soon as possible. 3️⃣ Tipping culture- In the U.S., tipping at places like restaurants, salons, and for services such as taxis is expected and considered part of the total cost. Many workers, including servers, barbers, and drivers, rely on tips as a major part of their income. Leaving a tip of about 15–20% shows appreciation for good service and respect for the worker. Not tipping can be seen as rude or unkind, even if the service was normal. 4️⃣ Don't Skip Showers-In the United States, personal hygiene is very important, and noticeable body odor is often seen as socially unacceptable or a Taboo. People generally expect others to bathe regularly and wear clean clothes, especially in public places like workplaces, classrooms, or crowded areas. If someone smells unclean, others may keep their distance, not out of cruelty but because good hygiene is considered a basic sign of self-care and respect for those around you. 5️⃣ Don't avoid Eye Contact- Direct eye contact during conversation shows honesty and engagement in American culture. While constant staring is inappropriate and can make people uncomfortable, periodically meeting someone's gaze while speaking shows respect and attentiveness. Avoiding eye contact entirely can be interpreted as dishonesty, disinterest, or a lack of confidence. #trendreels #indiangirlinusa #indianinusa #immigrantlife #americandream

Who’s wrong here? Drop your comments 👀👇 Tipping in America is a deeply ingrained social custom that shapes everyday interactions in restaurants, bars, and service-based industries. Unlike in many countries where service charges are included in wages or prices, tipping in the United States functions as an essential part of workers’ income, especially for servers and hospitality staff. This system has evolved over time into an unspoken set of expectations that both customers and workers navigate regularly. The practice typically involves leaving a percentage of the total bill, with 15 to 20 percent commonly viewed as standard for good service. While tipping is often framed as optional, social pressure makes it feel mandatory, turning it into a reflection of satisfaction, fairness, and even character. Supporters argue that tipping incentivizes better service and rewards effort, while critics point out that it creates income instability and places the burden of fair wages on customers rather than employers. #memepage #trending #viralpost #wizesailor
