നിങ്ങൾ ഈ സ്ഥലം കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ടോ ? 💀 . . പാലക്കാട്‌ കോട്ടയുടെ കഥ ⬇️ . . പാലക്കാട് കോട്ട പുരാതനകാലം മുതൽക്കേ നിലനിന്നിരുന്നു എന്ന് വിശ്വസിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. എങ്കിലും കോട്ടയുടെ ആദ്യകാല ചരിത്രത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് വളരെ കുറച്ച് വിവരങ്ങളേ ഉള്ളൂ. ഇവിടത്തെ ഭരണാധികാരിയായിരുന്ന പാലക്കാട് അച്ഛൻ, സാമൂതിരിയുടെ ഒരു ആശ്രിതനായിരുന്നെങ്കിലും പതിനെട്ടാം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിനു മുൻപ് സ്വതന്ത്ര ഭരണാധികാരിയായി. 1757-ൽ അദ്ദേഹം സാമൂതിരിയുടെ ആക്രമണഭീഷണിയെ ചെറുക്കാൻ മൈസൂർ രാജാവായിരുന്ന ഹൈദരലിയുടെ സഹായം അഭ്യർത്ഥിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് ഒരു സംഘം ആളുകളെ അയച്ചു. ഹൈദരലി ഈ അവസരം ഉപയോഗിച്ച് തന്ത്രപ്രധാനമായ പാലക്കാടിന്റെ ഭരണം പിടിച്ചെടുത്തു. അന്നു മുതൽ 1790 വരെ പാലക്കാട് കോട്ട തുടർച്ചയായി മൈസൂർ സുൽത്താന്മാരുടെയോ ബ്രിട്ടീഷുകാരുടെയോ ഭരണത്തിൻ കീഴിലായിരുന്നു. ബ്രിട്ടീഷുകാർ ഈ കോട്ട ആദ്യമായി പിടിച്ചടക്കിയത് 1768-ൽ കേണൽ വുഡ് ഹൈദരലിയുടെ കോട്ടകൾ ആക്രമിച്ചപ്പോഴാണ്. എങ്കിലും ഏതാനും മാസങ്ങൾക്കുള്ളിൽ ഹൈദർ കോട്ടയുടെ ഭരണം തിരിച്ചു പിടിച്ചു. 1783-ൽ കേണൽ ഫുള്ളർട്ടൺ 11 ദിവസം കോട്ട വളഞ്ഞുവെച്ച് കോട്ട പിടിച്ചടക്കി, എങ്കിലും അതിനടുത്ത വർഷം കോട്ടയുടെ നിയന്ത്രണം ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു. പിന്നീട് കോട്ട സാമൂതിരിയുടെ സൈന്യത്തിനു കീഴിലായി. 1790-ൽ അവസാനമായി ബ്രിട്ടീഷുകാർ കേണൽ സ്റ്റുവാർട്ടിന്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ ഈ കോട്ട പിടിച്ചടക്കി. ഈ കോട്ട പുനരുദ്ധരിച്ച ബ്രിട്ടീഷുകാർ ശ്രീരംഗപട്ടണം ആക്രമിക്കുവാൻ ഒരു താവളമായി ഈ കോട്ടയെ ഉപയോഗിച്ചു. 19-ആം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിന്റെ മദ്ധ്യം വരെ കോട്ട ബ്രിട്ടീഷ് സൈനികസംരക്ഷണത്തിലായിരുന്നു. 1900-ത്തിന്റെ തുടക്കത്തിൽ കോട്ട ഒരു താലൂക്ക് ഓഫീസായി രൂപാന്തരപ്പെടുത്തി. #palakkad #palakkadfort #ɪɴsᴛᴀɢᴏᴏᴅ #instafit #instamood #viral⁩⁩⁩⁩⁩⁩ key words - Palakkad fort, palakkad, palakkad fort jail, tippu sulthan fort , hyder ali fort , palakkad tourist spot, palakkad kotta
