Toadstool Cafe Review 🍄⁣ ⁣ We loved Toadstool Cafe inside Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Hollywood. 👏⁣ Overall Rating: 4/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⁣ Here are some quick things to note:⁣ ⁣ 🍽️ Food: the food was really delicious and we felt there was a nice variety of options. Plus, it was filling!⁣ ⁣ 💵 Cost: expensive but on par with other theme park restaurants. Sharing what you order is key here!⁣ ⁣ 🗓️ Availability: there are limited food options inside Super Nintendo World so Toadstool Cafe is a popular spot! Plus, it’s new and everybody wants to experience it. Reservations can only be made once you enter the park and scan the QR code at the entrance to Super Nintendo World. It will be tempting to wait until later so you can race inside to Bowser’s Castle… but we don’t recommend that if you’re wanting to eat here! Quickly scan that code and get on the waitlist while you’re walking to Bowser’s Castle! During our visit, the park opened at 9:00, we got on the waitlist at 9:04, and reservations for the day were fully booked by 10. 😅 So hop on that stat!⁣ ⁣ Have you been to Super Nintendo World yet?

I accepted Bowser’s Fireball Challenge at Toadstool Cafe from @unistudios here in Hollywood! It’s a 1 lb meatball covered with melted mozzarella cheese in a mushroom marinara sauce with a Bowser shaped puff pastry and hot sauce on the side. The meatball was huge but mixed with the the mushroom packed marinara and the truffly tasting hot sauce it wasn’t hard finishing it! Toadstool Cafe was a fun dining experience for the kids since the “windows” look into the behind the scenes of Chef Toad cooking and other scenes from the mushroom kingdom. And presentation of the dishes was what you see on the menu. Since I love mushrooms I also destroyed the mushroom soup (I wanted to keep the bowl) and the wife and kids finished their burgers. Super Nintendo World is packed! Download the app and do your best to get to the park early and scan the QR code to score yourself a reservation. When planning a trip to Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Japan, I KNEW for sure I had to go eat at Kinopio’s Cafe! The cafe is just way too cute to not go! The theme of the restaurant is all Kinopio (aka Toad). While waiting in line, we can see Chef Kinopio working hard in the kitchen to prepare a meal. 🥰 ✨Here are the items featured: 🍄Teriyaki Chicken & Super Star Rice (¥1,900) – I wanted to pick a dish that only USJ had compared to the one in Hollywood. The presentation for this is really adorable. Unfortunately, the dish for me was a bit too salty 😅. I think next time, I’ll try the Omurice. 🍄Super Star Lemon Squash (¥800) – I love lemonade and boba so this drink was very refreshing, lemony and a bit carbonated. I was shocked when I was told the drink could glow and powers up!!! 😎 Very cool and highly recommend it! 🍄Goal Pole Cake (¥600) – I love the layers and colors of this cake. It wasn’t sweet, very fluffy and tasty! ☺️ Tip: The cafe distributes timed tickets to eat in the cafe. If you want to eat here, definitely head there first to get a timed ticket. Definitely prepare to put aside 2 hours if you want to eat here. It does take time to get a table and also waiting for the food. Kinopio also does meet and greet around the theme park. I don’t know the exact times he comes out but I was able to see him often.
