To mark the end of Transgender awareness week, here’s a lil recap of what’s gone on since starting HRT, a year and a half ago. This is by no means a ‘look I’m done’ scenario. The way I look at transitioning now- I won’t ever be ‘done’. I’ll always be transitioning, in a way, just in a more comfortable way I think. I’ve done a lot in that time. It feels like forever and it feels like 10 mins. It is so lovely and joyous and also so scary and hard. So so taxing but so so fulfilling. Ive been very strategic with how I’ve approached this process so far (classic me). And most of that was allowing time to emotionally process certain things so I was in the best place possible to act on other things. Being as comfortable as possible (hard) was a priority at all stages because, even though I had goals to reach, I still had to be happy where I was and live my life in the mean time, along the way. I didn’t wanna miss out on the valid experience of my life as a woman at every step, every day- each one as real as the next. As I said in the video- I’m no more woman now that I was 1.5 years ago. Just a more comfortable one. As always, love you!! Especially all you trans people doing this with and alongside me. I thought I’d completely outgrow this shirt after 6 months lol, but I had unrealistic expextations which made me more frustrated and sad that I didn’t grow as fast as I wanted instead of focusing on the other changes that made me really happy.
