One of the most insane views in all of the Dolomites ✨🇮🇹 📍Cadini Di Misurina This was one of the shortest hikes we did in Italy, and also one of the most breathtaking. Just a mile from the trailhead you’re greeted with these insane peaks and feel like you’ve stepped into a dream 🥹 Know before you go 👇 📌Located near the famous Tre Cime hike, Dolomites, Italy 🚙 Parking is at Rifugio Auronzo (paid parking, reservation also required) 🥾 2 mile RT, 650 ft elevation gain ⌚️ Give yourself 2-3 hours with stops for photos 🌄 We did this hike at sunset and I think that would be the best time to go as there weren’t tons of people or a long wait for the main photo spot! Is this famous hike worth it?👇 Save this for your trip to the Dolomites!🇮🇹 First- trail stats! 📍Tre Cime di Lavaredo 🥾6.2 miles/ 9.98 km 📈1,617 feet/ 493 m elevation gain Easy-Moderate 👉This is one of the most popular hikes in the Dolomites- and is known for being quite crowded! ⏰We started this hike at 8AM in peak summer, right after we finished the famous Cadini di Misurina hike. I was surprised that the crowds were not too bad at 8 AM. However closer to noon there were definitely more people on the trail!😅 What REALLY shocked me was as the trail continued around Tre Cime from Dreizinnenhutte, the crowds almost entirely disappeared!🤯 It really seemed to me that most people hiked half of this loop and turned around at the Dreizinnenhutte, leaving those who do the whole loop with less crowds on the scenic second half.😄 Regarding difficulty- I’ve heard people call this hike impossible and heard others call it easy. In our opinion- it was quite easy and didn’t pose a challenge.😄 If you are seeing online how crowded this trail gets- don’t let it deter you. If you start early there will be less people, and even less if you actually complete the hike!🤩 🌄The views on the trail are great, but fall a bit short compared to other hikes in the Dolomites. Still 100% worth it though! 🚗Keep in mind- you must reserve parking at Rifugio Auronzo ahead of time if you are driving due to the popularity of this trail and the nearby Cadini di Misurina trail. 👏It’s super easy to do ahead of time! 👉Struggling to plan your Dolomites trip? Visiting Tre Cime in June? Here’s what to expect: 🌨️ Trail Conditions • Snow often lingers well into June • Most trails are cleared with snow piled to the side • Some patches may still be snowy or icy 🥾 Hiking Tips • Trails are generally walkable but can be slippery (see video 5) • Wear proper hiking shoes • Bring microspikes/crampons + hiking poles for stability • Be cautious on narrow sections ❄️ Best Starting Point • Snow is heavier on the right side of the car park • The left side is often clearer (see videos 6–8) • Want to avoid snow? 📍 Cadini di Misurina, Dolomiti ⛰️✨uno dei viewpoint più surreali delle Dolomiti, raggiungibile in meno di 40 minuti di cammino dal Rifugio Auronzo. 🎯 Dal Rifugio Auronzo al Viewpoint dei Cadini di Misurina Una volta arrivati al Rifugio Auronzo (2.333 m), hai due direzioni: 1. A sinistra: Tre Cime di Lavaredo 2. A destra: Cadini di Misurina – viewpoint spettacolare (la nostra meta!) → Il sentiero per i Cadini di Misurina è subito visibile, perché si vedono le montagne in lontananza e il sentiero panoramico si riconosce facilmente. 🎒Consiglio: vai all’alba o nel tardo pomeriggio per una luce dorata e silenziosa. The Tre Cime di Lavaredo loop hike had been on my bucket list for years and I finally got to check it out last week! It was crowded but definitely worth braving the crowds for. My advice would be to go on a weekday and start as early as possible. During the off season I also recommend packing ample water and using the restroom before you arrive, because facilities are very limited. If you’re interested in checking out these cool caves then you will need to hike up above Rifugio Locatelli (about a 15-20 min detour) 🇮🇹 ⠀ #italy #trecimedilavaredo #hiking #outdoorsygals #mountaingirls
