This is my favourite way, and it’s called the “triangle scarf” method 2. Draped over your back like a shawl. 3. Side-swept. making a filet crochet lace shawl over 3 months (75 hours) of work condensed to just 22 seconds! I’m in love with the result of this project. I used a pdf of a vintage pattern called “Butterfly Corners Luncheon Set” by Olive Ashcroft, sold by CBottBooks on Etsy 🦋 it’s actually intended to be for a corner decoration of a tablecloth, but I loved the pattern so much that I wanted to see if it would work scaled-up as a shawl! With filet crochet, grids made of chain and double crochet stitches create the delicate lace design. the project is worked in rows, and every row is unique! this project had a whopping 125 rows 😅 this was a birthday gift for my lovely best friend @lucianaramosba 🤍🤍 details: Aunt Lydia’s size 10 cotton crochet thread and 1.50mm hook additionally: I don’t have a blocking mat so I improvised using an old cardboard box which I made into a sheet.
